Leeds United’s exact bill for dismissing Daniel Farke is not publicly known. Recent reporting puts his salary at about £4 million a year and his contract’s expiry in summer 2027, but neither figure reveals the termination terms. TeamTalk’s older £4 million–£4.5 million estimate was made when it said about 19 months remained on a reported £3 million-a-year deal; it is not a current payoff figure.
How much would Leeds have to pay to sack Daniel Farke?
No confirmed current dismissal payment has been disclosed in the cited public reporting. Leeds has not published Farke’s salary or the contract’s termination clause, so a precise figure cannot be established from the contract horizon and reported salary alone.

A salary-based calculation would be only an illustration, not a verified liability. It would assume the reported salary is accurate and fixed, the deal still expires in summer 2027, and any payment equals salary for the remaining term without adjustments. Public information does not establish those assumptions or explain how bonuses, benefits, mitigation, or a replacement agreement might affect a settlement.
What is known about Farke’s Leeds contract?
The original deal
Leeds United announced on 4 July 2023 that Farke had agreed to a four-year deal at Elland Road. The club’s announcement confirmed the term but did not state his pay, severance formula, bonus treatment, or other termination provisions. Leeds United’s announcement

Reported expiry and contract talks
Sky Sports reported on 4 June 2026 that Farke was under contract until summer 2027. Chairman Paraag Marathe said: “I want him here this year and beyond. I think everyone at the club does.” That comment and reported expiry date do not disclose what Leeds would owe if it ended the contract early. Sky Sports
On 11 September 2026, the BBC described Farke as being in the final year of his deal and reported discussions about a possible new contract. Managing director Robbie Evans said he and Farke’s team had had “really good chats for the past three months” and were “all on the same page.” The report supports saying talks were ongoing then; it does not establish that a new agreement was signed. What is Daniel Farke’s reported Leeds salary?
TeamTalk reported on 14 September 2026 that Farke’s current deal was worth about £4 million a year, or roughly £76,000 a week. This is a media-reported salary, not a figure Leeds has officially confirmed. TeamTalk
The salary figure is not the same as a dismissal payment. The amount payable on termination depends on contract terms that have not been made public; the available reporting does not establish a guaranteed payout or a formula for calculating one.

Where did the £4 million–£4.5 million estimate come from?
An earlier TeamTalk report estimated a payoff of £4 million to £4.5 million when it said about 19 months remained on a contract paying £3 million a year. That was a time-specific media estimate, not a disclosed clause or confirmed payment. It should not be presented as Leeds’s current cost: later reporting put Farke’s salary at about £4 million a year and his contract’s reported end date in summer 2027, but still did not reveal the termination terms.
