In Airbus’s 2018 average list-price release, the A350-1000 was listed at $49.1 million more than the A350-900: $366.5 million versus $317.4 million. That is about 15.5% of the A350-900’s listed price, calculated from Airbus’s figures. These are historical list prices, not evidence of what airlines pay today.

The difference is roughly 15.5% of the A350-900’s 2018 average list price, also calculated from those figures. Airbus published the prices as averages; they are not individualized quotes for a particular airline or aircraft configuration. Airbus’s 2018 release says price depends on design weights, engine choice, and the level of selected customization.
Are those the prices airlines pay now?
No current, comparable negotiated purchase price for new A350-900s and A350-1000s is established by the cited public figures. The $49.1 million gap answers the comparison using Airbus’s 2018 average list prices; it should not be treated as the present-day cash difference paid by an airline. The published comparison does not establish individual discounts or deal terms.
For context, Airbus’s 2017 average list prices were $311.2 million for the A350-900 and $359.3 million for the A350-1000, a $48.1 million gap calculated from those figures. Those, too, are historical list prices, not a current transaction quote. Airbus’s 2017 release provides the figures.

What distinguishes the A350-1000?
The A350-1000 is the higher-capacity variant. Airbus’s February 2026 fact sheet lists these seating figures:
