Public salary estimates put James Justin’s Leeds United wage at an estimated £40,000 gross per week for 2026–27, compared with an estimated £30,000 per week at Leicester City in 2024–25. The difference is £10,000 a week, or £520,000 when annualized over 52 weeks—but these are estimates for different seasons, not confirmed contract figures.
Estimated wages compared
| Club | Season | Estimated gross fixed wage | Annualized estimate | Bonuses |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Leeds United | 2026–27 | £40,000 per week | £2,080,000 | Excluded from the Capology estimate |
| Leicester City | 2024–25 | £30,000 per week | £1,560,000 | Not stated by FBref’s wage listing |
Capology lists the Leeds figure as an estimate and says it is gross fixed salary, excluding bonuses. FBref’s Leicester wage page attributes its data to Capology. The annualized amounts are weekly estimates multiplied by 52; they are not necessarily the exact amounts Justin received in either season. Capology’s Leeds salary estimates and FBref’s Leicester wage listing provide the season figures.

How much higher is the Leeds estimate?
The difference between the listed weekly estimates is £10,000. Multiplied by 52 weeks, that is £520,000 a year: £2.08 million for the Leeds estimate against £1.56 million for Leicester’s listed 2024–25 figure. This is a comparison across different seasons—2026–27 and 2024–25—so it does not establish that Justin received a confirmed £10,000 weekly pay rise when he moved clubs.
Are these official contract wages?
No. Capology says it does not have access to players’ contracts for official confirmation and describes its figures as estimates. It says estimates may draw on club personnel costs in official financial statements or UEFA publications, but that does not make an individual player’s wage an officially disclosed amount. The listed figures are gross estimates, not take-home pay.

Leicester City’s financial statements report £133.212 million in wages and salaries for Leicester City Football Club Limited for the year ended 30 June 2025. That is a club-wide total, not evidence of Justin’s individual salary. The company’s filing history is the source for its published accounts.

BBC Sport reported that Leeds signed Justin from Leicester in a deal worth £10 million. That reported transfer fee is separate from wages: it is not an amount paid to Justin as salary and does not verify either club’s wage estimate. BBC Sport’s report covers the transfer.
