Chelsea topped the published post-final earnings list at a reported minimum of $128.43 million, followed by Paris Saint-Germain at a minimum of $118.43 million. Those totals combine participation payments with match and advancement bonuses. FIFA announced a $1 billion prize pool, but it did not publish exact final payments for every club; European totals marked as minimums should not be mistaken for confirmed, audited payouts.
How the Club World Cup prize money worked
FIFA’s 2025 model set aside $1 billion for the 32 participating clubs: $525 million in participation payments and $475 million in sporting-performance payments. A club’s total therefore depended on both its confederation-based participation amount and its results on the field.
FIFA described the announced figures as a distribution model. Its announcement did not provide a final itemized payment statement for all 32 clubs. The post-final totals below are reported figures, and the source labels certain European club totals as minimums because their individual participation payments were not confirmed.
Participation payments by confederation
| Confederation | Participation payment per club |
|---|---|
| Europe | $12.81 million–$38.19 million |
| South America | $15.21 million |
| North, Central America and the Caribbean | $9.55 million |
| Asia | $9.55 million |
| Africa | $9.55 million |
| Oceania | $3.58 million |
Europe’s rate was not a single fixed amount: it varied from $12.81 million to $38.19 million per club. FIFA did not confirm each European club’s individual participation fee, so published totals for European teams may be minimums or estimates rather than exact confirmed payments. FIFA’s prize-money model sets out the regional schedule; BBC’s reporting explains the uncertainty around European amounts.

Performance payments
| Result | Payment |
|---|---|
| Each group-stage win | $2 million |
| Each group-stage draw | $1 million |
| Reach the round of 16 | $7.5 million |
| Reach the quarter-finals | $13.125 million |
| Reach the semi-finals | $21 million |
| Runner-up | $30 million |
| Winner | $40 million |
Stage awards were additive: a club advanced through the tournament and accumulated the applicable advancement payments. Group-stage wins and draws also paid independently of whether a team qualified for the knockout rounds. FIFA president Gianni Infantino said when announcing the model that a potential winner payout of $125 million was foreseen; that was a prospective maximum under the model, not a statement of the amount ultimately paid to a particular club.

The table lists post-final totals reported by NBC Sports, in US dollars. A “minimum” label is retained where NBC used it; the individual European participation component was not confirmed by FIFA. Other figures are reported totals, not audited payment statements.

Source: NBC Sports’ post-final earnings list. The label “reported total” distinguishes entries that NBC did not mark as minimum; it does not mean FIFA independently confirmed every club’s final payment. BBC reported that FIFA had not confirmed each European participation amount, and that its own European estimates used Swiss Ramble calculations based on UEFA club coefficients. A separate Sporting News table reports performance prizes without participation payments, so its figures are not directly comparable to the combined totals above.

These are reported gross tournament award amounts. They do not establish how much a club retained after any player bonuses, taxes, travel costs, or other club-specific arrangements. The available figures also do not provide a reliable participation-versus-performance breakdown for every club, particularly for European sides whose individual participation fees FIFA did not confirm.
