A later report put the club’s value at around £400 million following a restructuring. Neither figure is established as a confirmed sale price or a fresh, independent market appraisal. The available figures also do not show that Ipswich and Wrexham are now worth the same amount.
What is Ipswich Town valued at?
TWTD reported that accounts for Gamechanger 20 Ltd put Ipswich Town’s value at £351 million as at 30 June 2025. The report also said a subsequent restructuring valued the club at around £400 million. The latter figure was reported in July 2026, but the accessible report does not disclose a detailed valuation method. Read TWTD’s account of the figures.
These are reported account and restructuring values, not evidence that the club was sold for either amount. A company can be assigned a value in its accounts or during a restructuring without a buyer paying that price in an open-market transaction.
Is Ipswich Town worth the same as Wrexham?
The figures currently available do not establish that the clubs are valued equally. In March 2025, BBC Sport reported Bloomberg’s estimate that Wrexham was worth around £100 million. That estimate predates Wrexham’s later financial update and the promotion context discussed in the article. It is also a different kind of reported estimate from Ipswich’s later account and restructuring figures. BBC Sport’s report on Wrexham’s valuation.

| Club and figure | Date and basis reported | What it does—and does not—show |
|---|---|---|
| Ipswich Town: £351 million | At 30 June 2025; reported from Gamechanger 20 Ltd’s accounts by TWTD | A dated account-based club value, not a confirmed sale price. |
| Ipswich Town: around £400 million | Reported after a subsequent restructuring in July 2026; detailed method not stated in the accessible report | A later reported restructuring value, not an independently verified open-market price. |
| Wrexham: around £100 million | Bloomberg estimate reported by BBC Sport in March 2025 | A third-party estimate from an earlier date, before the later financial update and promotion context cited by BBC Sport. |
Because the dates and valuation bases differ, these figures are not a like-for-like comparison. BBC Sport quoted football finance expert Kieran Maguire saying promotion may increase Wrexham’s value, alongside the club’s brand connection with its owners. That is context for why a valuation can change, not a current valuation of Wrexham on the same basis as Ipswich’s figures.

Ipswich Town’s turnover was £153.67 million in 2024–25, compared with £36.05 million in 2023–24, according to TWTD’s reporting of the accounts. Turnover is revenue generated during an accounting period; it is not the amount the club is worth. The sharp increase coincided with Ipswich’s Premier League season. TWTD’s accounts coverage reports the figures, while Spark Intel’s retrospective analysis attributes the rise chiefly to Premier League broadcasting revenue.

Other financial figures should also be kept separate. Shareholder investment, a company’s share capital, squad value, revenue and a reported club valuation measure different things. Companies House lists Gamechanger 20 Ltd’s accounts made up to 30 June 2025, filed on 31 March 2026, and a statement following a May 2026 share allotment; the share-capital amount is not itself a valuation of Ipswich Town. What the comparison can safely tell you
- The clearest detailed Ipswich figure is £351 million at 30 June 2025; a later report puts its post-restructuring value at around £400 million.
- The cited Wrexham figure is around £100 million, reported in March 2025, and does not establish its value after the later events covered by BBC Sport.
- A separate compiled ranking lists 2025 transaction values of $475 million for Wrexham and $445 million for Ipswich. Those dollar figures are a historical comparison, not current October 2026 values, and cannot be directly reconciled with the sterling account and restructuring figures without accounting for date, currency and valuation method. The compiled ranking.
- No cited public filing or completed transaction independently values both clubs on the same basis as of October 2026. Treat claims that their current values are “in line” as unverified unless they specify comparable dates and methods.
