PriceCharting’s US PlayStation System page lists a loose eBay price reference of $19.88, while individual sales recorded on the page during 2026 range from $34.99 for a tested PSone Slim console alone to $134.49 for a boxed SCPH-7501. Those are different transactions, not a guaranteed price range for every PS1.
What recent PS1 sales show
The figures below are individual eBay sales listed by PriceCharting in 2026. Because the models and bundles differ, they are useful comparables—not a statistical average or a direct price guide for every console.

Why your PS1 may sell for more or less
Matching your console to a recent sale means comparing the whole configuration, not just the PlayStation name. The examples show different sale prices for different models and bundles, but they do not isolate how much any single feature adds or subtracts.
- Model and revision: Read the SCPH model number on the console’s underside label. A PSone Slim SCPH-101 is not the same model as a SCPH-1001 or SCPH-7501.
- What is included: Separate console-only listings from bundles and complete-in-box systems. Note controllers, power and AV cables, manuals and original packaging rather than assuming they are included.
- Working status: A tested, working console is not directly comparable with an untested or faulty one. Check that it powers on and reads a game, and describe any problems accurately.
- Condition and market: Cosmetic wear, region and local buyer demand can affect what a buyer will pay. The cited sales do not quantify a separate dollar adjustment for any of these factors.
- Sale date: Use recent completed transactions. A current asking price shows what a seller hopes to get, not what a buyer has paid.
How to estimate your PS1’s resale value
- Find the model: Check the label on the underside and record its SCPH number.
- Test the console: Confirm whether it powers on and reads a game. Record faults or untested status instead of describing it as working.
- Inventory the bundle: List the console, controllers, cables, games, manuals and box you will actually sell with it.
- Search completed sales: Look for recent sold listings in your region for the same model and a similar condition and bundle. Prefer completed transactions over active asking prices.
- Set an estimate, not a guarantee: Use the closest matching sales as evidence, and date your estimate. If no close comparable exists, say that the estimate is uncertain rather than applying an invented premium or discount.
What these figures can—and cannot—tell you
The figures provide a US-dollar baseline and several dated transaction examples. They do not establish a representative price range for every PS1 revision, country or marketplace, or for sealed and graded consoles. They also do not measure the effect of seller fees or shipping. Your likely proceeds may differ from a sale price once those costs are considered, but the cited examples do not quantify them.
