A Nebraska fishing permit in 2026 costs $41 for residents and $95.50 for nonresidents for an annual permit. Shorter options cost $12 for one day for either group, or $33 for three days for residents and $40 for nonresidents. Nebraska Game and Parks Commission calls it a “fish permit”; prices below are the agency’s 2026 rates.
Nebraska fishing permit prices for 2026
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s 2026 price list includes applicable Aquatic Habitat Stamp fees. It also includes a $3 issue fee on listed fishing permits, with exceptions for veteran fish/hunt, senior fish/hunt, and deployed military permits. Who needs a Nebraska fishing permit?
Nebraska’s 2026 fishing guide says residents and nonresidents age 16 and older need a fishing permit. A nonresident younger than 16 does not need one when accompanied by someone who holds a Nebraska fishing permit. Reduced-cost disability permit
The Commission lists a special annual disability permit for $8. Eligibility is limited to people with a permanent physical or developmental disability that prevents them from casting or reeling without assistance and requires a helper. What about 2027 permit prices?
Do not use the announced future rates as 2026 prices. In an August 14, 2026 release, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission said approved increases would take effect with 2027 permit sales, pending state approval. The release lists future annual fish-permit fees of $24 for residents and $82 for nonresidents. These are announced 2027 amounts, not the current 2026 annual prices.
