Re:

How Much Does the Euphoria Cast Make Per Episode? What’s Actually Reported

Zendaya’s reported Euphoria contract is the clearest public salary figure. Here’s what is—and isn’t—known about per-episode pay for the rest of the cast.

The clearest reported figure is for Zendaya: a February 2023 Los Angeles Times report said she negotiated a new HBO contract worth about $1 million per episode. That is a media report about a private contract—not an official public payroll disclosure. Reliable, confirmed per-episode figures for the rest of the cast are not established in the available reporting.

How much does Zendaya make per episode of Euphoria?

The Los Angeles Times reported in February 2023 that Zendaya had negotiated a new contract with HBO for about $1 million per episode. The report concerned a then-upcoming season. HBO has not published a complete cast salary schedule, and the reported figure should not be treated as an official payroll record. Read the Los Angeles Times report.

What do the other Euphoria actors earn?

There is no comparably credible, confirmed per-episode figure established here for Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, or Maude Apatow. Cast-wide salary lists online often give estimates, but private contracts and inconsistent sourcing make those figures unsuitable as confirmed earnings. Business Upturn’s 2026 discussion, for example, acknowledges that contracts are private and that some amounts lack official confirmation; it is not proof of the amounts it repeats. See its discussion of cast salary estimates.

That distinction matters when comparing actors: an estimate for one performer may refer to a different season, come from a secondary site, or lack a documented contract behind it. Without a reliable source specifying the actor, season or contract period, and reported amount, a full-cast table would suggest a level of certainty the public evidence does not support.

Why cast salary estimates can be misleading

Per-episode pay is only one part of an actor’s compensation, and reported figures can cover different contract periods or seasons. Streaming economics also complicate simple comparisons. In a February 2023 Los Angeles Times story about her comments to The Hollywood Reporter, Sweeney said, “They don’t pay actors like they used to, and with streamers, you no longer get residuals.” That was a broader comment about actor compensation, not a disclosure of her Euphoria salary. Read the Los Angeles Times coverage.

What is known about the current cast?

The Associated Press reported in April 2026 that Euphoria returned for a third season and described the careers of Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow. That provides current cast context, but it does not establish what any of them earn per episode. Read the Associated Press report.
