The most detailed public estimates found put Angela Bassett at more than $450,000 per episode for 9-1-1 season five, Peter Krause at about $300,000, and five other cast members at about $80,000 each. These were reported figures from 2021—not official disclosures or confirmed current salaries.
Reported 9-1-1 cast salaries per episode for season five
Deadline reported the figures ahead of the season five premiere in September 2021. Vanity Fair and Us Weekly summarized that reporting. The amounts below are estimates attributed to entertainment reporting, not salaries confirmed by the actors or Fox.
| Actor | Season-five reported amount per episode | What the reporting establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Angela Bassett | More than $450,000 | Reported by Deadline, as summarized by Vanity Fair and Us Weekly. Her reported compensation reflected executive-producer duties on 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star; the reporting does not separate acting pay from producer compensation. |
| Peter Krause | About $300,000 | Reportedly after a 25% raise, according to Deadline as summarized by Vanity Fair. |
| Aisha Hinds | About $80,000 | Reportedly after a 25% raise, according to Deadline as summarized by Vanity Fair. |
| Rockmond Dunbar | About $80,000 | Reportedly after a 25% raise, according to Deadline as summarized by Vanity Fair. |
| Kenneth Choi | About $80,000 | Reportedly after a 25% raise, according to Deadline as summarized by Vanity Fair. |
| Oliver Stark | About $80,000 | Reportedly after a 25% raise, according to Deadline as summarized by Vanity Fair. |
| Ryan Guzman | About $80,000 | Reportedly after a 25% raise, according to Deadline as summarized by Vanity Fair. |
| Jennifer Love Hewitt | Not disclosed | Us Weekly did not state her salary. |
What was the season-six salary figure?
In 2021, Us Weekly said the five actors reported at about $80,000 per episode—Hinds, Dunbar, Choi, Stark, and Guzman—were projected to reach $100,000 per episode for season six. That was a forecast, not a confirmed contract rate. It should not be treated as evidence of what they were ultimately paid.
How certain are these reported salaries?
These are media-reported estimates rather than official salary disclosures. Vanity Fair said representatives for Fox and the actors declined comment to Deadline. When Guardian interviewer Steve Rose asked Bassett about the fee report, she replied, “You journalists, you say a lot of things,” and later said, “I want to work consistently and I want to be paid fairly.” Her comments neither confirmed nor denied the reported amount. The Guardian interview provides that context.

A 2022 Just Jared slideshow repeated Bassett’s season-five estimate and attributed it to Deadline; it was not a new confirmation or evidence of a later salary. The figures are nominal amounts as reported at the time and have not been adjusted for inflation here.

No. They describe reported season-five deals ahead of the 2021 premiere, plus a season-six forecast for five supporting actors. The reporting and interview cited here do not establish current cast salaries. Contract terms can change by season, and no official network or actor disclosure in the cited material verifies present-day rates.
