Deep-sea fishing has no single standard price. In the Florida charter examples below, shared half-day seats range from $85 to $200 per person, while private four-hour trips range from $700 to $1,250 per boat. Longer offshore trips can cost roughly $1,100 to $2,500 or more. These are advertised rates from individual operators, not a national average; ask for a confirmed total for your group and date.
Florida deep-sea fishing charter prices
The rates in this table were listed by the operators and checked on October 8, 2026. Prices and policies can change, so verify them directly before booking. A per-person seat and a whole-boat charter are not equivalent: check the format and the maximum number of anglers when comparing.

| The Reward Fleet, Miami | Half-day trips advertised from $85 per person. | Shared/open-boat and private options; confirm the format for the specific trip. | Bait and tackle inclusions vary by trip. The page applies an 18% gratuity to private charters and specifies an 18% gratuity for parties of 5 or more on certain trips. The Reward Fleet trip page |
| Superfish, Marathon | 34-foot boat: $800 for 4 hours, $1,500 for 6, or $1,750 for 8. 39-foot boat: $1,250 for 4 hours, $1,800 for 6, or $2,500 for 8. | Prices are for the whole boat and accommodate 1–6 anglers. | Licenses, tackle, lures, bait, ice, catch cleaning, and fuel on ordinary trips are listed as included. Fuel is excluded on far Gulf and some specially arranged long-distance trips. Superfish pricing page |
| Spellbound, Miami | $850 for 4 hours; $1,275 for 5.5 hours; 8-hour trips from $1,700. | Four-hour price covers 1–6 people; confirm the applicable group limit for other trips. | Rods, reels, bait, tackle, and licenses are listed as supplied. Spellbound trip page |
These examples show why a headline price alone is not enough. A private boat price divided among a full group can be economical per angler, but a smaller party pays more per person. Trip length, boat size, destination, fishing target, and what is included all affect the quote.
What determines the total cost?
Shared seat or private boat
A shared trip charges by the seat; a private charter commonly charges one rate for the boat up to a stated guest limit. Divide the private quote by the number of people who will actually go, then compare that figure with shared-seat prices. Do not divide by the boat’s maximum capacity if your group will be smaller.

- Big Game Rod: IGFA tournament trolling rods; the practical and fashionable rod allows you to travel to your favorite fishing spot and enjoy fishing whenever and wherever you want
Trip duration and distance offshore
Longer trips generally cost more in these rate examples. Travel distance can also affect fuel costs, and some operators price long-range trips separately. Ask whether the advertised duration includes travel time and whether the trip goes offshore to the fishing grounds you expect.
Boat, location, and target
Even four-hour examples vary considerably by location and operator. A larger boat or a specialized, long-distance trip may carry a higher rate. Confirm the fishing style and target species rather than assuming every trip marketed as deep-sea fishing covers the same experience.

Included gear and services
Some operators include rods, reels, bait, tackle, licenses, ice, fuel, or fish cleaning, but there is no universal inclusion list. Ask about each item, including whether live bait or catch processing has a separate charge. Several listed operators include core fishing gear, so do not budget for equipment purchases unless the charter confirms you need them.
Gratuity, deposits, and other charges
Gratuity may be separate or applied under specific conditions; deposits and possible fuel surcharges also appear in the examples. Before paying, confirm the amount due, whether a deposit is credited toward the balance, cancellation and weather policies, and accepted payment methods.

A refundable deposit affects how much cash you need before the trip, but it may not increase the final price if it is applied to the balance. Confirm how the operator handles it. One operator recommends bringing sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, weather-appropriate clothing, and snacks; check with your own charter for its packing guidance. Operator packing recommendations

- Is the quoted price per person or for the entire boat, and how many anglers does it cover?
- What is the exact trip duration, and does that include travel to and from the fishing grounds?
- Which gear, bait, license, ice, fuel, and catch cleaning are included? Are any items or services extra?
- Is gratuity included, expected, or automatically applied to my party?
- Is there a deposit or fuel surcharge? How does the deposit apply to the balance?
- What are the cancellation and weather policies for my departure date?
