Which PS5 version fits your needs?
Choose the Digital Edition if you buy games digitally
The Slim Digital Edition has no built-in disc drive. You can download games and buy them through PlayStation Store. Sony says a separately sold disc drive can be added to the digital Slim, but the compatibility note applies to the CFI-2000 Slim model group and requires an internet connection during setup to pair the drive with the console. See Sony’s China PS5 options page and its purchase page for the accessory details.
Choose the disc model if you use physical games
The disc-equipped Slim can play PS5 and PS4 Blu-ray games as well as downloaded titles. Its suggested price is RMB 400 more than the Digital Edition, before any seller-specific discounts or accessory costs.
