There is no single publicly established 2025 price for every Boeing 737 MAX. Ryanair’s 2025 annual report gives two useful contract-specific reference prices: about US$102.5 million for its 737-8200 aircraft and about US$135 million for its MAX-10 aircraft. Ryanair says the effective prices after Boeing concessions are significantly lower, but it does not disclose the exact net price paid per aircraft.

Why a basic price is not the amount an airline necessarily pays
A basic price is a contract reference, not a verified cash price for an individual aircraft. The net economics can reflect concessions and credits, escalation provisions, advance payments, delivery timing, buyer-furnished equipment, and the aircraft’s configuration. Ryanair’s report confirms that concessions lower the effective price, but does not provide enough detail to calculate a reliable per-aircraft net figure.
For that reason, neither US$102.5 million nor US$135 million should be presented as the exact price paid. Nor do the two figures establish a universal 2025 price range for all 737 MAX purchases: they refer to different Ryanair contracts and aircraft.

The MAX has several variants
Boeing lists four 737 MAX variants: the 737-7, 737-8, 737-9, and 737-10. Their specifications differ, and the disclosed Ryanair figures apply specifically to its contracted 737-8200 and MAX-10. Before treating two quotes or reported figures as comparable, check what each one actually measures:

- Variant and configuration: Identify the precise model and cabin or airline configuration.
- Contract timing: Check when the contract was signed or repriced and whether escalation applies.
- Delivery period: A future delivery contract is not the same as a price for an aircraft delivered in 2025.
- Included items: Establish whether equipment is included or furnished separately by the buyer.
- Discounts and credits: Distinguish a basic reference price from the net effective price after concessions.
- Type of figure: Separate a per-aircraft reference price from an aggregate contract value or a disclosed effective unit price.
The available public figures do not support an apples-to-apples comparison of effective net prices across airlines.
Do 2025 order announcements reveal a unit price?
No. Boeing’s 2025 announcement that BOC Aviation ordered 50 737 MAX jets reports the order quantity but does not state a per-aircraft price. An order count alone cannot establish the purchase price, and dividing an unstated deal value or borrowing terms from another contract would not produce a supported estimate. What price can a reader responsibly quote?
For a public reference, cite the exact Ryanair figure and identify it as a contract-specific basic price: approximately US$102.5 million for its 737-8200 or approximately US$135 million for its MAX-10. Add the relevant contract and delivery context, and do not describe either number as the universal 2025 price or as the exact net amount paid.
The sources cited here do not establish a current standard list-price schedule for every 737 MAX variant in 2025, or Ryanair’s exact effective unit prices after discounts.
