Is there a current Laker Girls pay rate?
No current salary, hourly rate, per-game fee, or appearance rate is stated in the Lakers’ public materials cited here. The 2025–26 Lakers Media Guide characterizes the position as part-time. It says members also pursue academic studies, theatrical dance careers, or non-entertainment careers, and describes performances at games, community appearances, and international representation.

What historical pay figures have been reported?

Does part-time mean the job has a small time commitment?
Not necessarily. The official guide’s part-time classification does not provide a current weekly schedule or hours. The 1999 Los Angeles Times account is historical context only: it described a minimum of six practice hours in a week and some weeks reaching 40 hours, alongside game and rehearsal payments. It should not be read as the current Laker Girls workload.
