Secret Invasion has the clearest high-end figure: Disney UK subsidiary filings put its reported costs at $224.3 million through September 30, 2023, according to Forbes. Other widely reported MCU series figures put WandaVision and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law at about $225 million each—but those estimates are not supported by the same kind of filing evidence.
What are the reported costs of the biggest MCU shows?
The available figures suggest that several high-profile MCU series cost roughly $200 million or more. They are not all measured the same way, however: Secret Invasion has a later, filing-based cost figure, while the figures for WandaVision and She-Hulk are press-reported estimates.

| Series | Reported figure | What the figure represents |
|---|---|---|
| Secret Invasion | $224.3 million | Total reported costs through September 30, 2023, based on Disney UK subsidiary filings reported by Forbes on October 19, 2024. |
| WandaVision | $225 million | A figure cited among online reports by TVLine on August 8, 2023; not a comparable filing-based final total in the sources available. |
| She-Hulk: Attorney at Law | $225 million | A figure cited among online reports by TVLine on August 8, 2023; not a comparable filing-based final total in the sources available. |
These figures do not establish a definitive ranking of MCU series. The $225 million amounts are commonly reported estimates, while the Secret Invasion total comes from company filings and covers a stated accounting period.
Why does Secret Invasion have more than one reported price tag?
TVLine reported a $212 million figure for Secret Invasion in August 2023. Forbes later reported $224.3 million in total costs through September 30, 2023, based on filings by Disney subsidiary Grass-Fed Productions UK. The two figures come from different reporting snapshots or measures; the available reporting does not establish that one simply corrected the other.

Forbes also reported that $37.5 million of costs were incurred in the filing year ending September 30, 2023. The filings showed a $45.5 million reimbursement, leaving $178.8 million in net spending. Those amounts describe distinct accounting views:
- $224.3 million: reported costs before the cited reimbursement, through September 30, 2023.
- $45.5 million: reimbursement reported in connection with the production.
- $178.8 million: net spending after that reimbursement, as reported by Forbes.
Forbes also reported that the production was forecast to exceed its production budget. That statement helps explain why a final cost figure may differ from an earlier budget or report, but it does not make the two figures directly interchangeable.

Why are MCU show budgets hard to compare?
Budget and total cost are different measures
A budget is an approved or reported spending plan. A later financial-statement total can include costs recorded after that plan was set, such as spending during a later filing period. For Secret Invasion, Forbes’ $224.3 million figure is reported cost through a specific date, not simply an initial approved budget.
Not every production has the same public disclosures
TVLine and Forbes both connect the unusual visibility of Secret Invasion’s costs to its UK production arrangements and the financial reporting of its UK subsidiary. That does not mean every MCU series has equivalent public filings. The sources available do not provide comparable primary financial statements for WandaVision or She-Hulk.

Episode count alone would not make a fair comparison
A per-episode average can be calculated only when a reliable total and a clear episode count are available, and even then it is a rough comparison: episodes do not necessarily require equal production spending. Disney’s official January 9, 2024 feature on Echo identifies it as a five-episode series, but does not state a budget. It therefore cannot support a cost comparison with the figures above.

Published figures put some of Marvel’s biggest streaming series in the neighborhood of $200 million or more. The strongest specific evidence here is the $224.3 million in reported Secret Invasion costs through September 30, 2023; WandaVision and She-Hulk are each often cited at $225 million, but those numbers have weaker and less comparable support. The evidence does not confirm a definitive most-expensive MCU show across the whole portfolio.
