Mike Perry did not disclose a dollar figure for his July 2024 boxing fight with Jake Paul. He described the payday as “right on cue with BKFC” and “Nothing crazy,” and said he hoped pay-per-view sales would do well. The available remarks do not establish his purse, any bonus, or a share of pay-per-view revenue.
What Mike Perry said about his payday
In an interview with Michael Bisping, Perry was asked about the “big boxing payday.” He replied: “It’s not bad. It’s right on cue with BKFC. Nothing crazy.” He also said: “I’m hoping the pay-per-view does well and that people buy the show because DAZN be a little pricey out there sometimes.” Dexerto reported the comments from the interview.
“Right on cue with BKFC” is a comparison to Perry’s pay in bare-knuckle fighting, not a disclosed amount. His comments do not specify a guaranteed purse, a performance bonus, or a percentage of PPV sales. The cited reporting establishes no exact figure for his Paul-fight earnings.
Why Perry was fighting Paul in July 2024
Paul had been scheduled to box Mike Tyson on July 20, 2024. After Tyson’s medical issues delayed that matchup, Paul stayed on the date and selected Perry as his replacement opponent. ESPN described the contest as an eight-round cruiserweight bout at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, distributed on DAZN Pay Per View. ESPN’s announcement confirms those event details.

SHAK MMA published the Bisping interview listing on June 21, 2024, with a segment about a “Big boxing payday?” Dexerto published Perry’s qualitative comments on June 27. The scheduled fight took place on July 20, 2024, the original date for Paul–Tyson.
What the earlier Paul-fight discussion does—and doesn’t—show
In January 2023, Perry told MMA Fighting that he had signed a contract for a potential fight with Paul, while noting that the bout still depended on the contract coming together. He did not reveal the deal’s details. That earlier discussion does not establish the financial terms of the eventual 2024 fight. MMA Fighting reported his comments.
