Neither figure is an official, club-confirmed salary, so his exact Leicester wage is not publicly established.
What were Iheanacho’s reported Leicester wages?
The two published estimates for 2023/24 are:
| Source | Season | Published figure | What it represents |
|---|---|---|---|
| Capology | 2023/24 | £80,000 per week; £4,160,000 annualized | Estimated gross fixed wages. Capology also estimates bonuses separately; those amounts are not confirmed payouts. |
| Salary Sport | 2023/24 | £65,000 per week; £3,380,000 annualized | A salary listing; the site gives June 2024 as the contract expiry. |
The figures should be treated as database estimates, not precise contract terms. Capology labels its figures as estimates and cautions that historical data can be limited or incomplete. The available figures do not establish Iheanacho’s net pay, take-home income, or complete compensation package.
Why do the estimates differ?
The sources do not provide a shared, independently verified contract record or enough detail to reconcile their methods. Capology identifies its £80,000 figure as estimated gross fixed wages; Salary Sport lists £65,000 per week. They are therefore competing estimates, not two pieces of evidence that can be combined into a more exact number.
FBref’s 2022/23 table, drawing on Capology data, also showed £80,000 per week. That supports the conclusion that the figure was published as an estimate for an earlier season, but it does not prove that Iheanacho’s 2023/24 contract guaranteed the same amount.

Was £65,000 a week an offer or his confirmed wage?
A 2024 report by ThisDay, attributing the claim to Football Insider, said Leicester had offered Iheanacho an improved deal worth £65,000 per week. That is a report about an offer; it does not confirm that he accepted it or was already earning that amount. It should not be treated as verification of Salary Sport’s separate 2023/24 listing.
Do Leicester’s accounts disclose his salary?
No. Leicester’s club accounts report aggregated financial information rather than individual player wages. The club’s announcement covering the year ended 30 June 2025 reported £186.5 million in revenue, staff costs equal to 82.0% of turnover, and a £71.1 million loss before tax. Those club-wide totals cannot identify Iheanacho’s salary or be used to calculate it.

Is this still his Leicester wage?
No: it is a historical question about his time at the club, not a current salary. Celtic’s official profile says Iheanacho moved to Sevilla in 2024 after leaving Leicester, spent the end of the 2024/25 season on loan at Middlesbrough, and signed for Celtic on 2 September 2025 on a one-year deal with an option for a further year. That profile establishes his later career timeline, but it does not verify what Leicester paid him.
