At -103 and -135, respectively, the odds indicate the price reported for each wager; they are not the profit amounts. The two reported profits add to $58,755. The combined stake was $70,000, a separate figure from profit. Any total-return amount would include the returned stake as well as winnings, so it should not be described as profit.
Marca noted that other wagers Mayweather may have made on the game but did not show in the Instagram post are unknown. The two reported bets should not be treated as a complete account of his Super Bowl betting.

How reliable are the reported bet amounts?
Sports Illustrated and Marca USA reported the figures based on Mayweather’s social post. The reporting gives readers a specific account of the two wagers, but the bet sizes and returns have not been independently authenticated here against sportsbook records. They are best described as reported winnings, not as a verified change in Mayweather’s net worth.

How did the bets fit into the broader Super Bowl betting picture?
Mayweather’s reported win was one bettor’s result, not a measure of the game’s overall betting outcome. Covers reported that Eagles moneyline and first-half wagers were among BetMGM’s notable winning bets. Caesars Sportsbook’s head of football, Joey Feazel, said the result was decent for the sportsbook overall because more customers backed the Chiefs in the game and futures pool.
Covers also relayed company-reported activity figures: FanDuel said it took more than 16.6 million Super Bowl bets, up 19% from 2024, with nearly three million users wagering and activity peaking at nearly 70,000 bets per minute. DraftKings reported more than 12 million bets from 2.5 million active customers and a peak of 59,000 bets per minute. These are platform figures, not independently audited totals for the betting market. Separately, ESPN reported that Nevada sportsbooks recorded a $22.1 million win on approximately $151.6 million wagered, citing the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
