Nicole Young’s reported final divorce settlement with Dr. Dre (Andre Young) was $100 million. That figure is separate from the $293,306 per month in temporary spousal support ordered while the divorce was pending in 2021.

How much did Nicole Young receive?

LegalClarity reports that Young and Dr. Dre reached a $100 million final property settlement on December 28, 2021. The reported payment schedule was two installments of $50 million. The signed final agreement was not available in the records reviewed, so the amount and installment details are reported terms rather than figures verified here against the agreement itself. LegalClarity’s 2026 summary is the source for those details.

Was Dr. Dre ordered to pay nearly $300,000 a month?

Yes, but that was temporary support during the divorce case, not the reported final settlement. On July 20, 2021, the Los Angeles Superior Court ordered Andre Young to pay $293,306 per month in temporary spousal support beginning August 1, 2021. The order also required him to maintain Nicole Young’s health insurance and continue paying expenses for homes in Malibu and Pacific Palisades. The court’s July 20, 2021 minute order documents those interim terms.

How the two amounts differ

Amount What it refers to Timing and source
$293,306 per month Temporary spousal support, plus separate health-insurance and housing-expense provisions Ordered July 20, 2021, effective August 1, 2021; documented in the Los Angeles Superior Court minute order
$100 million Reported final property settlement, reportedly paid in two $50 million installments Agreement reported as reached December 28, 2021; summarized by LegalClarity in 2026. The signed agreement was not reviewed.

The first figure was a recurring monthly order while the case was ongoing. The second is the reported total value of the final property settlement. They are different kinds of payments and should not be combined or described as though the court ordered $293,306 per month as part of the final deal. The public minute order verifies the temporary support ruling; it is not the final property settlement agreement.

What is known about the divorce

Young filed for divorce in Los Angeles on June 29, 2020, after 24 years of marriage. The Los Angeles Times reported that they married in May 1996 and had two children. The Los Angeles Times reported on the filing in 2020.

LegalClarity’s account says the final agreement ended future spousal support. Because the signed agreement was not reviewed, that detail should be understood as a reported term, not as a provision independently confirmed by the temporary-support order.

Can you see the final divorce agreement?

The Los Angeles Superior Court explains how to request copies of divorce judgments, while noting that family-law document images are not available through its online case-document-image service. Readers seeking the final court record can start with the court’s divorce-judgment document process. The temporary-support minute order alone does not establish the detailed terms of the final property agreement.

What the $100 million figure does not establish

The sources cited here do not establish a definitive total valuation of the couple’s assets or what share of those assets the reported $100 million represented. The settlement amount should not be treated as proof of either figure, and this individual case does not establish what a typical divorce settlement looks like.
