Birmingham City has not disclosed Bright Osayi-Samuel’s wage in its signing announcement. Public salary trackers offer estimates ranging from £12,000 to £35,000 a week, but they do not agree on the season or what the figures include. The most defensible answer is that his pay is unconfirmed; £20,000 a week appears in two separate listings.
What Birmingham City has confirmed
On July 4, 2025, Birmingham City announced that Osayi-Samuel had joined after his Fenerbahçe contract expired and signed a three-year deal. The club’s announcement confirms the transfer and contract length, not his wage or bonus terms. Birmingham City’s announcement does not provide a salary figure.
What the salary estimates say
The available figures are third-party estimates, not club-published wage information. They cover different seasons and may describe different parts of compensation, so they should not be treated as directly equivalent.
| Source and scope | Weekly figure | Annual figure | What the source says |
|---|---|---|---|
| Capology, 2026–27 estimate | £20,000 | £1,040,000 | Estimated gross fixed salary, excluding bonuses; Capology says its figures are estimates, not official amounts. |
| SalaryLeaks, 2025–26 team table | £12,000 | £650,000 | Estimate in the Birmingham City table, last updated June 17, 2026. SalaryLeaks says Championship salary data is rarely published and many figures are informed estimates. |
| SalaryLeaks, player profile | £20,000 base | £1,000,000 base | Lists possible annual bonuses of £260,000 for the July 2025–June 2028 contract. These are the site’s figures, not a club disclosure. |
| SalarySport, current profile | £35,000 | £1,820,000 | Lists these amounts for 2026–27, but also shows conflicting contract information, including an old June 2026 expiry alongside a June 2028 expiry. |
Why the estimates differ
The listings use different seasons and do not consistently distinguish base pay, bonuses or other remuneration. SalaryLeaks, for example, gives £12,000 a week in its 2025–26 team table but £20,000 a week as base pay on its player profile. Capology’s £20,000 figure is specifically described as gross fixed salary excluding bonuses. SalarySport’s £35,000 figure deserves particular caution because its displayed contract details conflict.

These figures should not be averaged into a supposedly precise wage. Nor can they establish Birmingham City’s total cost over the contract: the public sources do not establish bonus terms, pay structure or exact remuneration.

A careful summary is: Birmingham City has not publicly confirmed Osayi-Samuel’s wage in the cited announcement, while salary trackers estimate between £12,000 and £35,000 a week. One 2025–26 table lists £12,000; two separate listings put a figure at £20,000, with differing descriptions of season and compensation; SalarySport lists £35,000 but has inconsistent contract details. None of these should be presented as an official salary.
