What the €812.35 million figure means
The €812.35 million total is the figure reported on Transfermarkt’s 2026/27 detailed squad page. The captured page extract does not state the exact date of its valuation update, so the number should be treated as a season-specific page snapshot rather than a precisely dated valuation.
Transfermarkt describes its market values as estimates. Its methodology says they are not equivalent to transfer fees actually paid and that the aim is to estimate an expected value, not predict a price. So the figure is not a club-set price, a guaranteed sale return or a forecast of what a buyer would pay.
The same extract reports a 32-player squad, but it does not provide all 32 individual valuations. It therefore supports the aggregate figure, not a complete list of what each player is worth.

Why a trustworthy “every player” list is not available here
A complete player-value table needs two things to match: a defined roster and individual values from the same valuation snapshot. The available Transfermarkt extract is partial, while the captured versions of Manchester United’s official men’s-team page do not agree with another indexed roster. Those extracts do not establish one complete, matching list.
That matters because “every player” can mean different things: first-team players only, players currently on loan, academy players, or everyone registered with the club. The official team page lists first-team players by position and marks loaned players, but the available captures do not resolve the roster discrepancy well enough to combine it with a complete set of values.
Without a complete same-snapshot table, naming individual amounts or ranking the squad would create unsupported figures. The defensible answer is the reported squad total, with the limitation that the available evidence does not establish every player’s individual value.

Market value is not the same as sale proceeds
A squad market-value total adds estimates; it does not say what United could collect by putting the whole squad up for sale. Actual fees depend on deals that are negotiated and completed. The valuation total does not account for whether a buyer exists for each player, whether United would accept an offer, or what terms a particular transfer might include.

Manchester United’s 2026 annual filing says the summer transfer window ran from 15 June through 1 September 2026. That provides context for a post-window roster snapshot, but it does not turn an estimated squad value into a transaction total.
Keep transfer-fee commitments separate
Manchester United’s 3Q26 interim report disclosed a maximum of £144.4 million in additional contingent transfer-fee payments as of 31 March 2026. This is a potential payment commitment reported by the club, not the value of its players and not an estimate of proceeds from selling them. It is also reported in pounds, while the Transfermarkt squad total is in euros; the two figures measure different things and should not be added or compared as if they were equivalent.

How to assess a player-value table when one is available
Before relying on a list that claims to value every Manchester United player, check that it makes these details clear:
- Source and snapshot: Identify who produced the estimates and the date of the valuation update. A season label alone may not identify the precise update date.
- Roster scope: Check whether the list covers first-team players, loaned players and academy players, and whether that scope matches the club roster used.
- Measure and currency: Distinguish estimated market value from an actual transfer fee or a club’s asking price, and note the currency.
- Completeness: Confirm that every player in the stated roster has a corresponding value from the same snapshot. A squad total alone does not supply missing individual figures.
These checks are necessary for meaningful comparisons. A partial list, a different season’s squad total or a fee from a completed transfer cannot fill gaps in a current player-by-player valuation table.
