Martin Braithwaite’s reported wealth comes from two sources: a professional football career and business ventures, especially real estate in the United States. The clearest account begins with Braithwaite’s own 2019 description of investing in New York property; later articles attached much larger estimates to companies and projects linked to his ventures. Those estimates are not verified figures for his personal net worth.
What Braithwaite said about business and real estate
In a November 20, 2019 interview with WealthLAB, Braithwaite said, “I come from a business family.” He named New York real estate as his favorite current deal, discussed smart-home development and a historic high-rise in Jersey City, and said his clothing line Trente was doing well at the time. He also described his ambition: “the ultimate goal, from a business standpoint, is to make more money off the field than on it.”
That interview establishes his stated interests and goals as of 2019, not what those investments later earned. It does, however, show that his business activity was part of his public story before later headlines focused on large valuations.
What later reports say about his ventures
Later coverage has centered on NYCE-related real-estate and housing ventures. El Español reported on February 6, 2026, that the ventures were associated with about 1,500 housing units and 500 more under construction. The same article estimated a company valuation at 216 million pounds and put a particular stake at 180 million pounds. These are the outlet’s reported estimates of a company, stake and projects—not an audited statement of Braithwaite’s personal assets.

#1 Best Overall
In 2021, AS reported that Braithwaite appeared on a rich-athletes list, attributing that framing to Onze/Esport3. AS described a family real-estate company as valued at up to 250 million, and also named Trente and a restaurant in Gavà. The report does not establish that the company’s value belonged to Braithwaite personally, nor does it establish the current status of those businesses.
Why company valuations do not prove personal net worth
A company valuation is not the same as the wealth of an individual connected to it. A stake estimate is narrower than the value of the whole company, while the number of housing units describes projects rather than money available to an owner. Personal net worth would require evidence about ownership shares, debts, other assets and liabilities. The cited coverage does not provide an audited personal balance sheet for Braithwaite.
Rank #2
For that reason, the figures should be read with their original attribution and measure: AS’s 2021 report relayed a claim of up to 250 million for a family real-estate company; El Español’s 2026 estimates concerned a company valuation, a particular stake and housing projects. None can safely be presented as a settled personal net-worth figure.

Braithwaite’s playing career is the other part of the explanation. FC Barcelona’s official profile records his position, birth details, Barcelona debut and honours, along with the club’s notice that his contract was terminated in September 2022. The profile supplies career context, but it does not quantify his salaries, career earnings or current club status. The available evidence therefore supports describing football as one source of income without assigning it a total.
