What the reports said about the number of jets
In February 2024, The Washington Post reported that two jets were owned by Nashville-based companies and registered to be operated by Swift’s company, Firefly Entertainment, citing FAA documents. The aircraft identified in reporting were a Dassault Falcon 900 and a Dassault Falcon 7X. The Washington Post’s report also said FAA records marked the Falcon 900 as transferred to a real estate company.
Sky News reported that the Falcon 900 transfer took place in January 2024 and that the Falcon 7X remained associated with Island Jet Inc. at the time. Read together, these reports support a historical count of two associated aircraft before the transfer and one reported to remain associated afterward—not a confirmed count of jets Swift personally owns now. Dassault Falcon 900
The Associated Press identified a Falcon 900 in its February 2024 coverage of Swift’s private aircraft. It discussed a possible trip from Tokyo to Las Vegas, but that itinerary was prospective; the article does not confirm that the flight occurred. Read the Associated Press report.

Separately, the Washington Post and Sky News reported that the Falcon 900 was transferred to another company in January 2024. That transfer is why a count based on earlier reporting should not be repeated as a current ownership claim.

Sky News reported that the Falcon 7X remained associated with Island Jet Inc. after the Falcon 900 transfer. That company association does not, by itself, establish Swift’s current beneficial ownership, personal use, or control of the aircraft.

Why “associated with” is more accurate than “owned by”
Aircraft records can identify a registered owner, and reporting may connect an aircraft to a company. But a company’s name in registration or operating records does not alone establish which individual is the current beneficial owner or who personally uses or controls the aircraft. The FAA provides aircraft registration information and related services; its records should be interpreted as registration evidence, not automatically as proof of an individual’s present-day ownership. For that reason, the most defensible wording is that two aircraft were reported associated with companies linked to Swift before the 2024 transfer, and one was reported to remain associated afterward. The available reports do not settle whether she owns, controls, or uses other aircraft today.
