That is a count of aircraft delivered during the year—not a confirmed production rate for 2026. The company’s last cited annual-rate expectation was 156 aircraft per year, stated in July 2024.
How many F-35s did Lockheed deliver in the latest full year?
Lockheed Martin reported delivering 191 F-35s in 2025, its record annual delivery total at the time. The company’s delivery table lists 110 in 2024 and 191 in 2025. Those figures compare completed calendar-year deliveries, rather than factory production capacity or a forward-looking target. Lockheed Martin’s 2026 delivery announcement and annual table.
| Calendar year | F-35s delivered | What the figure represents |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 110 | Completed-year deliveries reported by Lockheed Martin. |
| 2025 | 191 | Completed-year deliveries reported by Lockheed Martin; a record annual total at the time. |
Why is the annual production-rate figure different?
In July 2024, Lockheed Martin said it expected to continue at a production rate of 156 aircraft per year. That was a dated company expectation, not a reported 2025 delivery total and not evidence of the actual 2026 pace. Production rate and deliveries measure different things: one describes the manufacturing pace the company expected, while the other counts aircraft delivered within a particular calendar year. Lockheed Martin’s July 19, 2024 statement.
What affected F-35 deliveries in 2024?
Lockheed Martin’s 2024 annual report says the company delivered no F-35s in the first half of that year, resumed deliveries in the third quarter, and delivered 110 aircraft for the full year. The company identifies 106 of those aircraft as TR-3-configured and four as TR-2-configured. The first-half pause is important context for interpreting the year’s delivery total; it does not change the fact that 110 is the full-year count. Lockheed Martin’s 2024 annual report.

How large is the F-35 program?
By December 31, 2025, Lockheed Martin reported that 1,293 production F-35 aircraft had been delivered cumulatively and that its backlog stood at 368 aircraft. The cumulative total covers deliveries over the program’s history through that date; the backlog is a year-end order figure. Neither number is an annual production or delivery count. Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is there a confirmed 2026 production target?
The cited company statements establish 191 deliveries in 2025 and a 156-aircraft-per-year production-rate expectation made in July 2024. They do not establish a confirmed full-year 2026 target or the actual 2026 total. Because 2026 is still underway, its completed-year delivery count is not yet available.
