If DoorDash requires a replacement method first, add another payment method, then remove the old one. Removing a card does not cancel DashPass.
Remove a card in the DoorDash app
DoorDash’s payment-menu label differs between iOS and Android. If your app looks different, look for Payment, Payment Methods, or Saved Payment Methods.
iPhone or iPad
- Open the DoorDash app and tap the account icon at the top.
- Under Account Settings, tap Payment.
- Find the card under Saved Payment Methods.
- Swipe the card left and follow the removal prompt.
DoorDash’s iOS payment instructions describe this Account → Payment path.
Android
- Open DoorDash and tap the account or menu icon.
- Tap Payment Methods.
- Find the card under Saved Payment Methods, swipe it left, and follow the removal prompt.
DoorDash’s payment-removal instructions use the Payment Methods label for Android.

Remove a card on the DoorDash website
- Sign in to DoorDash on the web.
- Open the account or navigation menu and choose Payment.
- Find the saved card and click the trash-can icon beside it.
- Confirm removal if prompted.
DoorDash’s help pages place the website menu differently—one describes a three-line menu in the upper-left, another an Account link in the lower-left. The position can vary with the layout, so look for the Payment page rather than relying on one fixed menu location. See DoorDash’s removal instructions and payment-update instructions.
If DoorDash won’t let you remove the card
DoorDash says to add a new card before removing an existing one when replacing it. Its instructions do not clearly guarantee that every account can be left with no payment methods, so if the card is the only one saved and no removal control appears, try adding another payment method first.

- Add a replacement payment method in Payment or Payment Methods.
- If DoorDash offers the option, make the replacement the default.
- Return to the saved methods list and remove the old card.
- Check that the old card no longer appears in the list.
When multiple cards are saved, DoorDash allows a card to be selected as the default. Setting a replacement as default may reduce the chance of choosing the old card by mistake, but it does not cancel a subscription.
Removing a card does not cancel DashPass
Deleting a payment method changes what is saved to your account; it is not a DashPass cancellation. If you want to stop membership billing, cancel DashPass separately through Manage DashPass in the app or on doordash.com, then check for the cancellation confirmation email. DoorDash says to cancel at least 24 hours before the next scheduled payment to avoid the next charge. See its DashPass cancellation instructions.

If DoorDash has charged you
Removing a saved card does not reverse a completed transaction or establish that a charge was unauthorized. First identify whether the charge relates to an order, DashPass, or another DoorDash service.
- Check your DoorDash order history, membership status, and email confirmations for a matching transaction.
- Contact DoorDash support about a charge you do not recognize or believe is incorrect.
- If you suspect fraud, contact your card issuer promptly using the number on the card or the issuer’s official app or website. The issuer can explain its dispute process; an account dispute is not automatically resolved by deleting the card.
For a lost, stolen, or compromised card, contact the issuer immediately. Remove the saved card from DoorDash if possible, change your DoorDash password if someone may have accessed your account, and review recent orders and membership activity. DoorDash’s U.S. consumer support page says chat and phone support are available 24/7 and currently lists 855-431-0459; verify contact options on the official support page because they may change.

- Double check if the URL/website is genuine before entering card details online. Do not provide any gift card details (example: claim code) to someone you do not know or trust. There are a variety of scams in which fraudsters try to trick others into paying with gift cards.
- If you believe that your Card has been lost or stolen, notify Mastercard immediately by calling 1-833-791-7288. You will be asked to provide the Gift Card number and other identifying information.
- Use your Mastercard Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted, including online. Your Amazon.com Balance cannot be used to purchase Mastercard gift cards.
If the card still appears after removal
Try these checks before assuming the deletion failed. They are practical troubleshooting steps, not a guarantee about how DoorDash synchronizes account data.
- Close and reopen the app or refresh the website, then sign out and back in.
- Check the account email or phone number to make sure you are viewing the profile where you removed the card.
- Compare the masked card’s last four digits; another saved method or wallet entry may be the one still visible.
- Check the account on both app and website, and update the app if an update is available.
- If the card remains visible or charges continue, contact DoorDash support. If the charge is unauthorized, contact the card issuer as well.
Uninstalling DoorDash is not a payment-method deletion step: removing the app from a device does not remove the saved card from the account. Likewise, deleting the entire DoorDash account is a last resort for someone who wants to stop using the service, not the normal way to remove one card; resolve active orders, credits, refunds, and DashPass first, and review the current deletion flow for its consequences.
