Find your transaction reference number
Look for the confirmation email or SMS sent after payment and note its transaction reference number. BillDesk says successful transactions produce a confirmation by email or SMS with this reference. Keep it available when checking status or contacting support. BillDesk support
Check status using the payment flow you used
Open the same merchant or payment service where you made the payment. The available lookup depends on how you paid; there is no single method established here for every BillDesk transaction.
Quick Pay
For the Quick Pay process described in the BillDesk-hosted customer FAQ, open Transaction Inquiry and enter the mobile number associated with the payment, then verify with the OTP.

Understand what the status tells you
A status result confirms the transaction state shown by the payment service; it does not necessarily mean the merchant has already applied the payment to your bill, card, loan, or other account. BillDesk distinguishes transaction confirmation from the merchant-side update, so contact the merchant to check whether the payment has posted. BillDesk support

Some banks provide their own lookup pages with different details and time windows. For example, IDFC FIRST Bank describes a last-transaction lookup covering the last 30 days and defines Successful, Failed, and Pending statuses. If the payment failed or your account was debited
If your account was debited but the payment failed, check the policy shown in the payment flow and contact the merchant or raise a support query if needed. The cited BillDesk-hosted FAQ says funds are reversed within two business days when the payment was not processed to the biller. This is a conditional statement for that FAQ flow, not a guaranteed timeline for every BillDesk payment. BillDesk customer FAQ

Raise a complaint or dispute
For a complaint or dispute, BillDesk says customers can use its agent front end to raise and track a complaint or the page’s Dispute Resolution tab. Have the transaction reference number and relevant payment details ready. For a question about whether a payment has been credited to a merchant account, contact that merchant. Never share an OTP or full card number with an unverified person or in a public comment. BillDesk support
