Yelo Enterprises
King was CEO of Yelo Enterprises, which ITV describes as a rapeseed and animal-feed business. ITV reported that more than £70 million was invested in the region through construction of an oilseed-processing facility using renewable energy. Coventry City was a later investment
King agreed in 2022 to acquire an 85% stake in Coventry City, with the EFL ratifying the takeover in January 2023. BBC Sport reported that the deal would clear the club’s existing debts. Later that month, King bought the remaining 15% and became the club’s sole owner. These transactions show where he deployed capital; they do not explain how he originally made it. Is Doug King’s net worth known?
No dependable personal net-worth figure is established by these sources. In a 2026 interview with The Guardian, King said: “I’ve earned some money. I’ve decided to deploy it into a project, which is a dangerous thing to do, actually, for your wealth.” The comment describes his decision to invest in Coventry City; it does not disclose an amount or provide a net-worth estimate.
