CH Biotech R&D Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based agricultural biotechnology company focused on plant growth regulators and specialty micronutrient fertilizers. Its stated innovation model links biological research to applied product development, field trials, and registration work. That describes how the company says it works—not independent proof that a particular product improves crop performance.
What CH Biotech does
The Taiwan Stock Exchange describes CH Biotech as researching, manufacturing, and selling proprietary plant growth regulators (PGRs) and specialty micronutrient fertilizers for agriculture and horticulture. The exchange profile says its products are labeled for a range of crops and that the company has established products and a pipeline of new ones; those corporate descriptions are not substitutes for product-specific trial results. Taiwan Stock Exchange company profile
CH Biotech’s own site also describes plant growth regulators, growth stimulants, and high-performance fertilizers. The company says it was established on November 29, 2013, and lists December 21, 2023, as its Taiwan Innovation Board listing date. Its company profile lists a headquarters and R&D center in Chung Hsing Park, Central Taiwan Science Park, Nantou; a Zhangbin Plant in Changhua; and a manufacturing center in California. How its R&D process is organized
CH Biotech describes two connected functions: Foundation Labs, which investigate agricultural problems and possible biological mechanisms, and Solution Labs, which assess and develop potential applications. In the company’s account, the process moves from understanding a crop-production challenge toward testing a possible solution and preparing it for practical use. CH Biotech: Innovations

Foundation Labs: investigate the problem
The company says Foundation Labs use genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, phenomics, and other technologies to assess agricultural production problems, examine relevant biological mechanisms, and propose solutions. This is the discovery-oriented part of the model: identify a problem and study what may be happening in the crop or its environment before selecting an intervention.
Solution Labs: evaluate applications
Solution Labs are described as working across crop morphology, growth and development management, production management, flavor ingredients, ornamental value, biological interactions, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and production engineering. CH Biotech says this group evaluates feasibility and technology options, develops product roadmaps, conducts field efficacy trials, and handles registration and production-process standardization.
Rank #2
The company frames this work around maintaining or improving agricultural effectiveness while addressing food safety, environmental pollution, crop quantity and quality, and the stability of agricultural inputs during increasingly extreme weather. Those points explain the company’s stated research priorities; they do not establish that its products achieve a specific outcome under particular farm conditions.
What laboratory compliance and registration do—and do not—show
CH Biotech says its global research center laboratories comply with OECD Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and that its analysis and research data are recognized by international registration agencies. Its company profile records that an advanced laboratory passed OECD GLP certification in 2015. GLP is a framework for the quality and conduct of laboratory studies; it is not a certification that a named agricultural product works. Registration requirements also vary by jurisdiction, so a product’s authorization and permitted uses must be checked in the country where it will be applied. Products and international commercialization
CH Biotech describes a distributor-led international model and lists markets including the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile. A market appearing in company materials does not confirm that every product is currently available or registered there. Before purchase or use, verify the product’s current local label, registration status, authorized supplier, crop, application timing, and directions.
A June 18, 2018 company announcement said Radiate® and NutriSync® technologies were marketed through Loveland Products in the United States and Australia, with stated focuses on root development, plant stress reduction, and nutrient utilization. That is a historical company announcement, not confirmation that the distribution relationship or product availability remains current. CH Biotech’s June 18, 2018 announcement

What the company’s reported innovation figures mean
CH Biotech’s 2024 ESG report records 18 patent certificates, 10 industry-academia collaboration projects, and 18 groups receiving awards with total prize money of NT$1,820 thousand. These are company-reported figures for 2024, posted in 2025. They indicate reported intellectual-property, collaboration, and award activity, but do not by themselves demonstrate a particular crop or product result. CH Biotech 2024 ESG Report

A corporate research process can explain how a product is developed, but a grower, adviser, or buyer evaluating performance needs evidence tied to the specific product and use. Check:

- Registration and label: Is the product authorized for the intended country, crop, and use, and what application directions apply?
- Trial evidence: Are results available for the target crop and conditions, with a clear comparison, trial design, and reported outcomes?
- Timing and rate: Does the evidence correspond to the label’s application timing and rate?
- Safety and constraints: What environmental, worker-safety, compatibility, or other use requirements apply locally?
- Current supply: Is the named product currently available through an authorized supplier in that market?
Company descriptions, awards, laboratory compliance, and historical distribution announcements answer different questions from independent, product-specific efficacy evidence. Treat them accordingly.
