But the available evidence does not establish his current net worth, his personal proceeds from a company acquisition, or a complete picture of his spending. The eight items below separate documented work and financial events from amounts that remain undisclosed.
How Ben Affleck earns money
1. Acting
Affleck has a long-running film and television career. Artists Equity lists acting among his roles and includes credits such as Good Will Hunting, The Town, and The Last Duel. Those credits establish a substantial body of work, but the company profile does not report his fees or lifetime acting income. Artists Equity’s profile
2. Writing
Affleck is also a writer. His career includes writing work, and Artists Equity identifies writing as one of his professional roles. Public career credits do not show what he earned from any particular script, rights arrangement, or writing project. Artists Equity’s profile
3. Directing
Directing is another documented part of his career. Artists Equity lists Gone Baby Gone, The Town, and Live by Night among his credits. Netflix’s February 2025 announcement also named Affleck as director of Animals. Neither source provides his directing compensation. Artists Equity’s profile Netflix’s Animals announcement

4. Producing films and television
Affleck has also earned opportunities through producing. Artists Equity describes him as a producer and says his Pearl Street Productions co-produced projects including Promised Land, Jason Bourne, and Manchester by the Sea. Netflix said Affleck would star in and produce Animals with his Artists Equity partners. These credits document production activity, not the fees, profit participation, or other terms he received. 5. Artists Equity
Affleck co-founded Artists Equity with Matt Damon in 2022 and is its CEO. The company describes a model intended to broaden access to profit participation and monetize intellectual property through creator partnerships. That makes Artists Equity a business and production channel, but its public profile does not disclose Affleck’s salary, ownership economics, or distributions. Artists Equity’s profile

6. InterPositive and the Netflix acquisition
Affleck founded InterPositive, a filmmaking-technology company. Netflix announced on March 5, 2026, that it had acquired the company, that its full team would join Netflix, and that Affleck would become a senior adviser. Netflix did not state a price in its announcement. Netflix’s acquisition announcement
The Los Angeles Times later reported that Netflix paid $587 million for InterPositive in 2026. That is a reported company acquisition price—not an established amount paid to Affleck. The available reporting does not establish his ownership percentage, other investors’ interests, transaction adjustments, taxes, or personal net proceeds. 7. Advertising and brand partnerships
In a September 5, 2026, announcement, Aflac described a partnership with Artists Equity featuring Affleck in a campaign he directed with Artists Equity’s Brandon Pierce. Aflac called it the start of a long-term creative partnership, with the campaign appearing across linear, digital, and social platforms. The announcement does not reveal Affleck’s personal fee or how compensation is arranged between him and Artists Equity. Aflac’s partnership announcement
What is publicly known about Affleck’s spending?
8. A reported home sale—not a spending ledger
The clearest documented personal asset transaction in the available sources is a Pacific Palisades mansion that Affleck sold for a reported $28.5 million in October 2022, according to the Los Angeles Times. That figure is the reported gross sale price. It does not reveal what he paid, any debt on the property, transaction costs, taxes, or his net gain. Los Angeles Times report on the 2022 home sale
Rank #4
A sale is an asset transaction, not evidence of how Affleck spends his income. The available sources do not provide a reliable, comprehensive account of his current properties, household costs, travel, cars, investments, or charitable giving amounts. Artists Equity says he founded the Eastern Congo Initiative in 2010, but it does not quantify his personal donations. Artists Equity’s profile

- $587 million: the acquisition price the Los Angeles Times reported for InterPositive in 2026; not Affleck’s established personal proceeds.
- $28.5 million: the Los Angeles Times reported sale price of his Pacific Palisades home in 2022; not his established profit from the sale.
Neither figure establishes Affleck’s current net worth. The cited company announcements and reporting do not supply a verified personal salary, project-by-project income, company ownership share, transaction proceeds, or full spending record. Celebrity net-worth estimates should not be treated as audited or official figures.
