Shared hosting for a small website
Shared hosting can be a reasonable starting point for a personal blog, portfolio, or modest brochure site that does not need guaranteed compute resources. Before buying, ask for the plan’s website count, storage and inode limits, CPU and process limits, database limits, email quotas, control panel, backup coverage, and renewal price. “Unmetered” or “unlimited” language should not be read as unlimited CPU, memory, database, or inode use.

HostingRaja’s WordPress page advertises plans with features including 10 GB storage, 50 GB bandwidth, unlimited PHP workers, free SSL, daily backups with 14-day retention, migrations, and CDN, WAF, and malware-protection features. These are claims on the WordPress offering page; confirm which exact managed plan includes each one and what the limits and restore terms are. WordPress hosting can be suitable for a basic blog or small site if the plan’s limits match its workload. Do not assume hosting support includes custom code, plugin conflicts, theme changes, or ongoing application maintenance; ask what help covers before relying on it.
VPS and cloud hosting
A VPS or cloud plan may be appropriate when a site needs more control or resources than shared hosting provides, but the label alone does not tell you what you are buying. Daily backups with 14-day retention are advertised on the WordPress hosting page, but those statements do not by themselves establish that every plan has the same backup coverage or that restoration is guaranteed in every situation. HostingRaja’s terms say cloud and backup storage products do not include a backup guarantee and may not support recovery in every unforeseen situation. Confirm what is backed up, where copies are stored, how restoration is requested, whether restores cost extra, and how long recovery takes.
