Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) lists Xiaohangjia Futures Limited / Xiaohangjia Brokers on its Alert List under “Unlicensed entities.” The entry was added on June 4, 2018 and remains available on the SFC website.
The warning does not, by itself, say that Xiaohangjia was convicted of fraud, that a court found it to be a scam, or that the SFC ordered it to shut down. It records a narrower regulatory concern: the entity was not licensed by the SFC and, according to the regulator, gave a Hong Kong address where it was not located.
What the SFC warning says
The SFC’s official record names the entity as Xiaohangjia Futures Limited / Xiaohangjia Brokers. The Chinese-language version identifies the names as 小行家期貨有限公司 / 小行家國際金融服務.

What “unlicensed entity” means here
The SFC says some entities target Hong Kong investors without being licensed to carry out regulated activities in Hong Kong. These businesses may offer online trading platforms and may use names that resemble legitimate financial institutions.
In practical terms, a business appearing on this part of the Alert List should not be treated as an SFC-authorised broker or futures dealer. The SFC also warns that investors dealing with an entity that is not licensed may not be protected by Hong Kong’s regulatory framework.
The regulator’s instruction is straightforward: deal only with licensed entities and hang up on cold callers.
What the warning does not establish
The wording of the alert matters. The SFC listing does not state that:

It also does not confirm whether either website is currently active. The two domains are included because they appeared in the SFC’s alert, not because the regulator has confirmed their present status.
How to check a broker before sending money
- Search the SFC Alert List. Go to the SFC website and select Alert List. Use the search field labelled “company name, office address, URL, product name, etc”. Search the company name, every website domain, and any address supplied by the firm.
- Check the SFC Public Register. A clean search result on the Alert List is not enough. Use the SFC’s Public Register of Licensed Persons and Registered Institutions to confirm that the exact legal entity is licensed for the activity it is offering.
- Match the details exactly. Compare the legal name, licence status, website, telephone number and office address. A similar name is not proof that two businesses are connected. Fraudulent or unauthorised operators can use names resembling genuine firms.
- Do not rely on a licence number supplied in a message. Type the regulator’s website into your browser yourself rather than following a link from an email, WhatsApp message or social-media account.
- Stop if the sales process is pressuring you. Requests for an immediate deposit, guaranteed returns, cryptocurrency transfers, payment to a personal account, or extra money to release a withdrawal are major warning signs. A Hong Kong address, professional-looking website or trading app does not replace regulatory authorisation.
If Xiaohangjia contacted you
Do not deposit money or provide identity documents until you have independently verified the firm through the SFC. Preserve the evidence, including:
- the website address and account or referral link;
- emails, text messages, WhatsApp chats and caller numbers;
- names and licence claims used by the representative;
- payment instructions, bank details and wallet addresses;
- screenshots of the account balance and withdrawal requests; and
- receipts, bank statements and transaction IDs.
If you have already paid, contact your bank or payment provider immediately and ask whether the transfer can be recalled or blocked. Report suspected fraud to the Hong Kong Police Force and notify the SFC. Do not pay a second firm that promises to recover your money for an upfront fee; recovery scams often target people who have already lost funds.
If the broker claims to be regulated outside Hong Kong, check that regulator’s official register as well. An overseas registration, if one exists, does not automatically authorise a firm to solicit Hong Kong investors or provide services regulated in Hong Kong.

How to find the official record
On the SFC website, follow this path:
SFC website → Alert List → Unlicensed entities → Xiaohangjia Futures Limited / Xiaohangjia Brokers
The Alert List page includes Expand all and Collapse all controls. Searching for “Xiaohangjia,” “Xiaohangjia Futures Limited,” “xhjkg.hk” or “xhjbrokers.com” should help locate the record.
Because the entry dates from 2018, readers should distinguish between the date of the warning and the firm’s present status. The alert confirms what the SFC recorded when it added the listing; it does not confirm that the named websites or business are operating today.

Did the SFC call Xiaohangjia a scam?
The SFC alert does not use that legal characterization. It says the entity was unlicensed and that it provided a Hong Kong address where it was not located. Calling it a convicted fraudster or saying the SFC proved it was a scam would go beyond the published alert.
When was the warning issued?
The SFC added the Xiaohangjia entry to its Alert List on June 4, 2018. The record remains available on the SFC website.
What address did Xiaohangjia give the SFC, according to the alert?
The listed address is Flat C5, 15/F, TML Plaza, 3 Hoi Shing Road, Tsuen Wan, N.T., Hong Kong. The SFC states that the company gave this address but was not located there.
What should I do if I already sent money?
Contact your bank or payment provider immediately, request a recall or block where possible, preserve all messages and transaction records, and report the matter to the Hong Kong Police Force and the SFC. Be cautious of recovery services demanding an upfront payment.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThe Bottom Line
Bottom line: The SFC’s June 4, 2018 Alert List entry identifies Xiaohangjia Futures Limited / Xiaohangjia Brokers as an unlicensed entity and says it was not located at the Hong Kong address it supplied. That is a serious reason not to treat the firm as an SFC-authorised broker. The alert does not, however, state that Xiaohangjia was convicted of fraud or legally declared a scam. Verify any broker through the SFC’s official Public Register, not through the firm’s own website or sales representative.
