For the 2025 model year, Honda’s announced Pioneer 700 update was limited to new TrueTimber Atera Camo color on the Pioneer 700 Forest and Pioneer 700-4 Forest. Honda’s April 30, 2024 announcement did not describe a broad engine or chassis redesign. The equipment additions often associated with newer Pioneer models—including USB-C and Kenda Mastodon tires—were announced separately for 2026, not 2025.
What changed for the 2025 Honda Pioneer 700?
American Honda announced the 2025 lineup on April 30, 2024. The specific model-year change identified in that release was TrueTimber Atera Camo for both Forest configurations, which Honda described as a powersports-exclusive partnership. The standard and Deluxe trims continued alongside Forest in two-seat Pioneer 700 and four-seat Pioneer 700-4 versions. Honda’s 2025 model-year announcement frames the lineup as a return, not a full redesign.
Honda announced broader convenience and equipment changes for the 2026 model year in an August 12, 2025 release. Those changes included added storage compartments, a USB-C port, Kenda Mastodon tires, and enhanced debris-penetration protection; they should not be attributed to the 2025 models. Honda’s 2026 announcement covers those later updates.

How the 700 and 700-4 differ
Honda positions the Pioneer 700 as a middle option in its recreational/utility side-by-side range, balancing work capability with handling in tighter areas. That is manufacturer positioning, not the result of an independent comparison test.

The principal choice is seating and cargo flexibility. The two-seat Pioneer 700 seats two. The 700-4 seats four and has stowaway rear seating that can open the rear area for cargo, according to Honda’s feature materials. The four-seat model is heavier and has slightly less listed ground clearance.

What Deluxe and Forest add
Honda identifies equipment differences between trims, but advises checking the feature details for the exact configuration when comparing listings.
- Deluxe: Honda lists electric power steering, black aluminum wheels, a bed 12V outlet, and bed lighting.
- Forest: Honda lists a larger front bumper and a factory-standard 4,500-pound Warn winch. The 2025 Forest configurations also receive the TrueTimber Atera Camo color.
The winch is Forest factory equipment, not a generic accessory included with every Pioneer 700. If shopping for an aftermarket winch or windshield, confirm compatibility with the specific model year and seating configuration before buying; Honda’s accessory materials include windshield options, but a generic listing does not establish fitment. What the announcement means for a buyer
If you are comparing 2025 Pioneer 700s, treat the camouflage as the confirmed model-year distinction rather than assuming new mechanical specifications. Choose the two-seat or 700-4 layout based on whether passenger capacity or the option to stow rear seats matters more, then compare the equipment on the precise trim and configuration you are considering.
Honda’s April 2024 MSRPs are useful as launch-period reference points only. They do not tell you what a dealer currently has in stock or what a specific unit will cost after freight, setup, taxes, registration, and dealer charges. Request a written, itemized quote and verify the model year and included equipment.
