The £89.99 price is for Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition on the UK PlayStation Store—not the Standard Edition. The same storefront lists Standard at £69.99. Both are PS5 listings, and prices on other platforms or in other markets may differ.
How much does GTA 6 cost in the UK?
On the UK PlayStation Store, the PS5 Standard Edition is listed at £69.99 and the PS5 Ultimate Edition at £89.99. The £89.99 figure is therefore real, but it does not describe the Standard Edition. These are UK storefront prices accessed in 2026; check the relevant store before buying because pricing can vary by platform and region.
| Edition | UK PlayStation Store price | What the listing includes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | £69.99 | Grand Theft Auto VI, Vintage Vice City Pack, one month of GTA+, and seven-day pre-load. |
| Ultimate Edition | £89.99 | The Standard Edition items plus an Ultimate Edition Upgrade. |
The PlayStation Store marks the title as PS5 Pro Enhanced. That label does not change the listed edition prices.
What is the difference between Standard and Ultimate?
According to the UK PlayStation Store listings, Ultimate adds an Ultimate Edition Upgrade to the items listed with Standard. The available information does not itemise the upgrade’s contents, so compare the current store descriptions before paying extra rather than assuming it includes any particular bonus.

Check the GTA+ pre-order terms
The Standard listing includes one month of GTA+ for qualifying pre-orders, and Take-Two’s announcement also describes a free month for qualifying digital pre-orders. The PlayStation Store says the subscription auto-renews monthly at the regular price until cancelled, and the redemption is tied to the account used for the pre-order. Treat the month as a limited offer, not a continuing free subscription; review the store terms and cancel before renewal if you do not want a paid subscription.
Is GTA 6 really £89.99 on every platform?
No such conclusion follows from the available listings. The £69.99 and £89.99 comparison is specifically for the UK PlayStation Store’s PS5 Standard and Ultimate Editions. Xbox UK has an official product page, but its captured starting price of £89.99+ does not provide enough edition detail for a like-for-like comparison. Avoid applying the PlayStation prices to Xbox or to another country.

Take-Two announced a US launch price of $79.99. That is a separate market and currency, not a UK price or a basis for converting the UK listing. The company announced a November 19, 2026 launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Rockstar Support describes the physical version as a code in a box that can be redeemed for the digital download. Do not assume that a retail box contains a game disc. A direct digital purchase is delivered through the platform store; with the physical code-in-box route, you redeem the code to access the download.

How to choose which listing to buy
- Confirm the platform and country. The £69.99 and £89.99 prices apply to the UK PlayStation Store’s PS5 listings, not automatically to other storefronts.
- Pick the edition based on its listed contents. Standard includes the named pack and pre-order offers; Ultimate adds the Ultimate Edition Upgrade. Use the current store listing to assess whether the upgrade is worth the difference to you.
- Check subscription renewal details. If you pre-order for the included GTA+ month, note the auto-renewal condition and manage cancellation through the account used for the order if you do not want to continue.
- For a boxed purchase, verify format and region. Rockstar says the physical product is a download code in a box, and recommends matching the retailer’s country to your platform-account country.
