Expired: The U.S. Google Store promotion reported on December 8, 2024, offered 50% off a Pixel Watch 3 when purchased with a qualifying Pixel 9-series phone. It was reported to run through December 28, 2024, so it is no longer available as of August 18, 2026.
This was a bundle discount—not a free watch and not a standalone 50%-off sale. The contemporaneous terms were reported by 9to5Google.
What the 2024 Google Store promotion included
The offer applied through the U.S. Google Store when a customer bought any Pixel 9-series phone and selected a Pixel Watch 3 with the purchase. The qualifying phone family included the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The report described it as part of Google’s final 2024 holiday deals and said it was scheduled to run through December 28, subject to availability.
The Pixel 9 itself was listed at $649 after a $150 discount for the 128GB model. That was a temporary promotional price before sales tax, trade-in credits, financing effects or account-specific offers—not a permanent price. The Pixel 9 configuration page is a current product page, not proof of the 2024 terms.

Pixel Watch 3 prices under the bundle
The 50% calculation below uses the regular prices reported at the time. Final checkout cents could vary because percentage discounts are rounded by the store.
| Configuration | Reported regular price | Approximate bundle price | Approximate savings |
|---|---|---|---|
| 41mm Bluetooth/Wi-Fi | $299.99 | $149.99 | $150 |
| 45mm Bluetooth/Wi-Fi | $349.99 | $174.99 | $175 |
| 41mm LTE | $399.99 | $199.99 | $200 |
| 45mm LTE | $449.99 | $224.99 | $225 |
These figures describe the watch discount only. The phone’s $150 reduction was a separate part of the holiday pricing. The watch had to be selected with the qualifying phone, and color, size, inventory and checkout eligibility could affect what was offered.

Who qualified—and what was not included
- Qualifying phones: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
- Region: The reported promotion was for the U.S. Google Store; it should not be generalized to other countries.
- Other sale items: Pixel 8a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Buds and Nest products appeared in the broader holiday sale but were not identified as qualifying for the 50%-off watch bundle.
- Availability: The reported end date did not guarantee that every watch configuration remained in stock.
- Unverified terms: The surviving coverage does not preserve every original exclusion, stacking rule or return calculation, so do not assume the discount combined with every coupon, store credit, trade-in or financing offer.
How this differed from Google Fi “free watch” offers
Google Store and Google Fi were separate promotions. The Google Store deal was an immediate 50% reduction on the watch tied to a Pixel 9-series purchase. Google Fi offers could instead use monthly bill credits, LTE activation and service requirements; in some cases, those credits made a watch effectively free over time. That does not mean the Google Store watch was free or subject to Fi’s carrier terms.
| Google Store holiday bundle | Google Fi promotion |
|---|---|
| 50% off the Pixel Watch 3 at checkout with a Pixel 9-series purchase | May rely on monthly bill credits and service eligibility |
| Direct Google Store purchase | Carrier-specific activation and plan rules may apply |
| Not advertised as free | Could be effectively free over the credit period in some cases |
Check Google Fi’s current phone offers and watch offers separately; plan pricing and eligibility are not directly comparable with a historical cash discount.

Was the bundle a good value?
When it made sense
- You already intended to buy an unlocked Pixel 9-series phone.
- You wanted a Pixel Watch 3 specifically.
- You valued buying both devices directly from Google.
- You preferred the larger 45mm or LTE model, where the dollar savings were greatest.
When another deal could be cheaper
- A retailer could price the phone below Google’s $649 holiday price.
- The watch had a reported standalone Google Store discount of $50, while Amazon and Best Buy had previously advertised discounts of up to $70.
- A trade-in quote or carrier promotion could change the total cost, although those were separate mechanisms and depended on the customer.
- Bluetooth/Wi-Fi models avoided LTE-related service considerations; LTE models could require activation or an ongoing plan.
Taxes were extra, and the advertised figures did not establish a particular trade-in value, financing result or combined-offer eligibility.
Availability and current alternatives
The deal was reported on December 8, 2024, with an intended end date of December 28, 2024. It is expired. Current Google Store pages should not be used to reconstruct the old checkout terms.
For a replacement, check Google’s current offers page, the Pixel 9 product page and the Pixel Watch 3 product page. Google’s later holiday page at store.google.com/us/magazine/holiday-deals covers newer products and promotions, not the 2024 bundle.
