The Hollywood Reporter says the company plans to use the capital to expand programming and talent, while exploring more live golf programming and in-person fan experiences. Those are stated plans, not confirmed launches.
Who invested in Pro Shop?
The Hollywood Reporter’s October 5, 2026 report, published via Yahoo Finance, says Arthur Blank’s family office led the $24 million Series B. Causeway Partners and Ares Capital also participated. Returning investors named in the report include the PGA of America and Powerhouse Capital.
The announced amount is a reported financing figure; the available report does not break down how much each investor contributed.
What does Pro Shop plan to do with the funding?
CEO Joe Purzycki described a growth agenda built around the company’s existing media franchises and a larger slate of programming and talent. The report also says Pro Shop is considering additional live golf programming and real-world experiences for fans. It does not identify specific new shows, events, launch dates, or a budget allocation among those areas.

Purzycki framed the company’s approach as building audiences around media properties: “We think the best way to build brands is to bring communities together around these media tentpoles and franchises.” Co-founder Chad Mumm described golf as “experiential, but it’s also a lifestyle.” These comments explain the rationale behind the expansion, rather than announce a particular event or product.
What does Pro Shop do?
Pro Shop describes itself as a media and commerce company. The Hollywood Reporter says it was founded in 2023 by Purzycki and Mumm, launched a dedicated studio, and produces Netflix’s Full Swing. The report identifies Happy Gilmore 2 as the studio’s first co-production.

In 2024, Pro Shop raised $20 million and acquired Skratch, the PGA Tour’s digital and social media brand, according to the same report. Its company profile also lists Sugarloaf Social Club among its portfolio, and a Pro Shop post references a Sugarloaf golf polo. That supports a connection to golf apparel as part of its commerce activity, but does not establish a particular retail listing or endorsement.
