For Wednesday, 7 January 2026, the later and more widely corroborated reports put 24-karat gold at Rs466,762 per tola and Rs400,173 per 10 grams. The reported 24-karat silver rate was Rs8,361 per tola and Rs7,168 per 10 grams. These are historical market quotations for that date—not live prices or a current jeweller’s offer.
Reported gold and silver rates on 7 January 2026
PKRevenue and ARY News attributed the later-session rates to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Their reports agree on the main figures below.

Why reports show two gold prices
Daily Pakistan’s report, published at 8:44 a.m., listed gold at Rs467,962 per tola. PKRevenue and ARY News later reported Rs466,762 per tola, Rs1,200 lower. The reports do not establish whether the difference reflects changing session prices or a reporting error, so the exact intraday sequence cannot be confirmed. Daily Pakistan carries the early figure.

The figures are news reports attributing rates to the association, rather than a directly cited association release. The more widely corroborated later figure is therefore best read as the reported later-session rate, not as proof that every report recorded the same price.
How the rates compare with 6 January
Business Recorder reported 24-karat gold at Rs464,762 per tola and silver at Rs8,023 per tola on 6 January 2026. That prior-day comparison is separate from the reported 7 January daily change: gold was reported down Rs1,200 on 7 January, while silver was unchanged that day. Business Recorder’s 6 January report provides the previous-day figures.

International prices reported that day
PKRevenue also listed international gold at $4,444 per ounce, down $12, and international silver at $78.86 per ounce, unchanged. These are that report’s historical international quotations, not Pakistan per-tola retail rates. PKRevenue’s report includes both the local and international figures.
