For 22 March 2026, Pakistan Observer reported 24K gold at Rs 498,200 per tola and silver at Rs 9,503 per tola, attributing its figures to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APG&JSA). TechJuice published lower rates for the same date—Rs 485,362 for 24K gold and Rs 7,684.75 for silver per tola—without naming a rate-setting association. The published figures conflict, so neither should be treated as an uncontested market rate.

The following figures are historical rates published for 22 March 2026, not current prices. Pakistan Observer attributes its local rates to APG&JSA; TechJuice does not name the association or other issuing body behind its table.

Pakistan Observer’s gold rates by purity
Pakistan Observer also listed lower-purity gold rates for the date. These prices are not interchangeable with the 24K row: purity is part of the quoted rate.

Why the published rates differ
The two publishers give materially different values for both metals on the same date. For 24K gold, Pakistan Observer’s per-tola figure is Rs 12,838 higher than TechJuice’s; for silver, its figure is Rs 1,818.25 higher. Pakistan Observer identifies APG&JSA as its source, while TechJuice does not identify a rate-setting association. The available reports do not explain the discrepancy, so the difference cannot be resolved by combining or averaging the tables.

Business Recorder reported that on 20 March 2026 gold fell Rs 24,300 to Rs 499,462 per tola and Rs 20,833 to Rs 428,208 per 10 grams; silver fell Rs 760 to Rs 7,734 per tola and Rs 652 to Rs 6,630 per 10 grams. That is prior-day market context, not verification of either publisher’s 22 March figures. Business Recorder’s 20 March report.
How to use a dated rate when buying or selling
- Match the same date, metal, purity, and weight unit before comparing published rates. A per-tola value should not be compared directly with a per-gram or 10-gram value.
- Keep the publisher’s attribution attached to the figure. For 22 March, one report names APG&JSA and the other does not name its rate-setting source.
- Treat a published rate as a reference rather than a guaranteed shop quote. The cited reports do not establish a seller’s final price, premium, or making charge for that date.
International prices are not local Pakistan rates
TechJuice listed international spot gold at $4,489.1 per troy ounce and silver at $67.982 per troy ounce. GoldPrice.org’s historical page lists the Sunday close on 22 March 2026 as $4,503.33 for gold and $67.98 for silver. These are source-specific international figures, and the gold values differ; neither should be presented as a single confirmed spot quote or as a Pakistan rupee rate.
