The $27.25 Office 2021 Professional Plus price was advertised during Godeal24’s Mother’s Day promotion in May 2024. It is not a verified current offer: Godeal24’s indexed summer-sale page lists Office 2021 Pro Plus for one PC at $36.28, and Microsoft ends Office 2021 support on October 13, 2026. Treat the old price as a historical promotion, not a deal you can count on today.
What was the $27.25 offer?
In May 2024, promotional coverage reported that Godeal24 advertised Office 2021 Professional Plus for one PC at $27.25. The campaign also advertised multi-key bundles, including five PCs for $86.25, and discounts described as more than 90%. These reports confirm that the price was promoted; they do not establish that it remains available or that the key carried the same rights as a Microsoft retail license. A May 2024 report on the Mother’s Day promotion and coverage of the anniversary sale and bundle pricing are promotional sources, not independent licensing verification.
Do not assume the historical price was the final amount for every buyer. The available reports do not establish whether every regional listing used U.S. dollars, whether a coupon was required, or how taxes and payment fees affected checkout totals. The advertised edition was called “Professional Plus”; that name should not be treated as interchangeable with Microsoft’s consumer “Professional 2021” edition.
What does Godeal24 list now?
Godeal24’s indexed summer-sale page lists different products and prices, rather than the old Mother’s Day offer. The figures below are listed prices on that page, not guaranteed checkout totals; sale terms and coupon codes can change.
#1 Best Overall
| Listing on Godeal24’s summer-sale page | Listed price |
|---|---|
| Office 2021 Pro Plus, one PC | $36.28 |
| Office 2024 Home | $139.14 |
| Office 2024 Home and Business | $242.64 |
| Office 2019 Pro Plus, one PC | $28.81 |
These are the page’s listed figures; verify the product page, any coupon conditions, and the complete checkout total before paying. The page separately lists Office 2021 Pro Plus and Office 2021 Home and Business for Mac, so a Windows product should not be assumed to work on a Mac. See Godeal24’s summer-sale listings.
What is included—and what the edition name does not prove
Microsoft’s consumer Office Professional 2021 product is a one-time purchase for one PC and includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, and Access. Microsoft’s product page listed it at $439.99 when captured for this article; that is a reference price from that page, not a claim that Godeal24’s product is an equivalent license. Microsoft’s Office Professional 2021 product details describe the consumer edition.

Godeal24 calls its discounted product “Professional Plus.” The information available on its sale page does not establish whether that specific key is a consumer retail license, an organizational or volume-license product, or another licensing category. Nor does the listing by itself establish transfer rights, account association, permitted commercial use, or that its included apps and terms match Microsoft’s Professional 2021 edition. Confirm those details in writing before purchase.
A one-time Office purchase gives access to a specific release; it is not a Microsoft 365 subscription. Microsoft says one-time suites do not include Microsoft 365 services such as OneDrive storage, Exchange Online, or SharePoint Online, and they do not automatically upgrade to future major Office releases. Microsoft’s explanation of Office suite differences also notes that some cloud-backed features are not included.

The key timing issue: Office 2021 support ends October 13, 2026
Microsoft says Office 2021 support ends on October 13, 2026, with no extended security updates planned. After that date, the installed apps may continue to launch and work, but Microsoft will stop providing security updates, bug fixes, and technical support. New vulnerabilities may remain unpatched, and compatibility with newer Microsoft 365 services may become less dependable over time. The end date is not an automatic shutdown date. Microsoft’s end-of-support guidance and its Office 2021 lifecycle listing set out the timing.
That makes the apparent savings a short-horizon decision in August 2026. A low purchase price does not extend support, and “perpetual” use of a version does not mean perpetual security maintenance.

Is a deeply discounted key legitimate?
There is not enough evidence here to label Godeal24 a scam or to certify every key it sells as fully authorized. The seller’s listing does not establish the origin or licensing terms of the particular Office 2021 key. A key being accepted by Microsoft’s activation system is evidence of technical activation at that time; it does not, by itself, prove that the buyer has clear licensing rights, that the key can be transferred, or that it will never be blocked.
Customer reviews for Godeal24 include both reports of successful Office activation and complaints about keys that did not work or were later blocked. Trustpilot’s Godeal24 reviews are anecdotal reports, not a measured failure rate or proof about a specific product. For a buyer, the practical risks are activation failure, uncertainty about permitted use, limited recourse, and the time and expense of replacing the software.

Who might consider it—and who should skip it?
It may suit a narrow short-term need
- You need classic desktop Office apps on a Windows PC and have confirmed the exact edition and device limit.
- You accept that Office 2021 support ends on October 13, 2026.
- You are comfortable with unresolved questions about the seller’s key provenance and licensing terms.
- You have checked the refund policy and can pay using a method with buyer-protection procedures.
Choose another option if support or certainty matters
- You handle sensitive or business-critical information and need ongoing security updates.
- You need a clearly documented commercial license, reliable transfer rights, or a supported current release.
- You rely on OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange, or other Microsoft 365 services.
- You use a Mac and have not confirmed the product is specifically licensed for Office on Mac.
- You expect future major-version upgrades to be included.
Alternatives to compare
| Option | Payment model and fit | Key trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Office 2024 | One-time purchase; a newer release than Office 2021. | Microsoft describes Office 2024 as a one-time purchase, but it does not include many Microsoft 365 subscription services. Check the edition and support terms before buying. Microsoft’s Office 2024 and Office LTSC 2024 FAQ. |
| Microsoft 365 | Subscription; suited to users who want current apps, multiple-device use, cloud storage, and connected services. | Recurring cost rather than a single payment. Plan terms vary; compare them on Microsoft’s Microsoft 365 site. |
| LibreOffice | Free, open-source suite for common word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tasks. | It is not Microsoft Office and may not preserve complex Office formatting or provide equivalents to Outlook, Publisher, and Access. See LibreOffice’s official site. |
For another one-time purchase, Microsoft’s Office 2024 information is a better starting point than buying a soon-to-be-unsupported 2021 release. If you need current features, cloud services, or several devices, compare Microsoft 365 plans instead. The right choice depends on whether a single payment, continued support, or Microsoft’s connected services matter most.
What to check before paying
- Edition and platform: Confirm the exact SKU—Professional, Professional Plus, Home & Business, or another edition—and whether it is for Windows or Mac.
- License and use: Ask whether the key is retail, OEM, or volume licensed; whether personal and commercial use are allowed; and what documentation supports those terms.
- Devices and transfer: Verify the number of permitted installations, whether the key can be moved to a replacement computer, and whether activation links it to a Microsoft account.
- Activation and delivery: Confirm the activation method, how the key will be delivered, and whether the download comes from Microsoft or a third-party installer. Prefer official Microsoft download and activation workflows.
- Price and recourse: Check whether a coupon is required, whether taxes or payment surcharges apply, and what refund or replacement terms cover an invalid or blocked key. Save the listing, terms, and receipt.
Microsoft’s enterprise requirements for Office LTSC Professional Plus 2021 include a 1.1 GHz or faster two-core processor, 4 GB of RAM, 4 GB of available disk space, and a 1280 × 768 display. Those specifications are for the enterprise/LTSC product and may not apply to Godeal24’s unspecified SKU; check the requirements for the exact product you intend to install. Quick Recap
If the key fails or is later blocked
- Preserve evidence: Save the listing, order confirmation, key-delivery message, refund terms, and a screenshot of the exact activation error.
- Check the mismatch: Confirm the installed Office edition and operating system match the purchased product. An edition or Windows/Mac mismatch can prevent activation.
- Use official setup: Follow Microsoft’s setup or activation process. Do not install unofficial activation tools or disable antivirus protections to make a key work.
- Contact the seller in writing: Request a replacement or refund and keep the response. If the key was already redeemed, restricted by region, or associated with a different licensing channel, include that information.
- Use payment-provider recourse if appropriate: If the seller does not resolve a qualifying failure, review your payment provider’s dispute process and deadlines.
