What happened to the 680-post recruitment?
Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur advertised 680 Group D/Class-IV posts. The Nagpur district administration’s notice page lists the notice, titled “Direct Recruitment Class 4 Group D,” as starting on 27 December 2023 and ending on 31 January 2024. Those are the notice-page dates; the application dates in the recruitment brochure were different.
The official brochure said applicants could submit the online form from 30 December 2023 through 20 January 2024. That application period has ended. The district notice page is available at Direct Recruitment Class 4 Group D; the brochure linked there contains the original recruitment terms.
What were the original eligibility and test requirements?
Education and age
The brochure specified a Class 10 pass as the educational qualification. Upper-age limits varied by category, and eligibility and age were assessed against the final online application date. Applicants should consult the brochure’s category-specific rules rather than rely on a single age limit.

Online test
The described selection test had 100 multiple-choice questions and a total duration of 120 minutes. It allotted 25 questions each to Marathi, English, general knowledge, and reasoning/arithmetic. The brochure also included category and reservation conditions; those details belong to this closed recruitment and should not be assumed to apply to a later notice.
Application fees
The 2023 brochure listed an application fee of ₹1,000 for open-category applicants and ₹900 for reserved-category applicants. These were fees for that recruitment, not current charges for a new vacancy.

How to check for a current Group D recruitment
- Open the official Maharashtra DMER website and find its Group D recruitment or notice board.
- Open the particular notice and verify its recruiting institution, post name, publication date, application dates, and whether it is an application notice or a later-stage update.
- Use only the application link supplied by that notice, and read its brochure for eligibility, category rules, fees, and the selection process before submitting a form.
The DMER Group D notice board includes later-stage notices for a separate 2025 recruitment, such as document-verification and merit-list updates. Those notices do not reopen the GMC Nagpur 2023–24 application window.
