Glow Node Review: Scam or Good Prop Trading Firm?

Glow Node is not a viable standalone prop trading firm for new customers: GLOW NODE LTD entered creditors’ voluntary liquidation on June 10, 2026, and purchases are paused. The evidence does not establish that it was legally a scam, but its liquidation and reported customer disputes make a new challenge purchase inadvisable.

Glow Node is not a prop trading firm you should buy from now. Its website says purchases and trading were paused after an acquisition by Sway Funded, while Companies House lists GLOW NODE LTD as being in creditors’ voluntary liquidation. The winding-up began on June 10, 2026.

That does not, by itself, prove that Glow Node was intentionally operated as a scam. It does establish that Glow Node is no longer a viable standalone firm for new challenge buyers. Anyone considering a purchase should avoid sending money to the company and should not rely on old reviews, challenge comparisons, or historical payout rules.

Glow Node’s current status

The most important evidence is the official company record, not an old promotional article or review score.

Item Verified information
Legal name GLOW NODE LTD
Company number 14037065
Incorporated April 9, 2022
Current status Liquidation
Liquidation type Creditors’ voluntary liquidation
Winding-up commenced June 10, 2026
Current registered office 1st Floor, Fairclough House, Church Street, Chorley, England, PR7 4EX

You can verify this on the Companies House overview and its insolvency record. The company’s historical terms instead listed 86–90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, so the address shown on the terms does not match the current Companies House overview.

Companies House also lists Ryan John Beasley and Samuel Philip Bradbury as active directors, both appointed on April 9, 2022. That information should not be mistaken for evidence that the business is still trading normally.

What Glow Node’s website says

The Glow Node homepage displays a notice stating that the business was “Acquired By Sway Funded.” It also says:

  • Purchases and trading were paused.
  • Active accounts would be migrated to Sway Funded.
  • The migration was scheduled for August 10.
  • Existing users would be able to log in and receive pending payouts.

The notice does not clearly identify the year. Sway Funded’s own timeline places the acquisition in August 2024. The notice is stale or incomplete in light of GLOW NODE LTD’s subsequent liquidation, and it does not prove that every pending payout was made. That distinction matters because customer reports describe disputes involving delayed payouts, account changes, and migration problems.

In practical terms, articles claiming that Glow Node is currently accepting challenges or independently funding traders are outdated. The website does not present a normal, functioning challenge-purchase operation, and the legal entity is now in liquidation.

Was Glow Node a scam?

There is not enough independently verified evidence to make a legal finding that Glow Node was intentionally operated as a scam. It appears to have operated as a real simulated-trading business before its shutdown and acquisition.

That is not the same as saying it was safe or dependable. The available evidence supports a more precise conclusion:

  • Not currently operating independently: Glow Node says it was acquired and paused purchases and trading.
  • In liquidation: GLOW NODE LTD’s official status is “Liquidation.”
  • Unresolved customer-risk questions: the migration notice promises access and pending payouts but does not document successful payment to every customer.
  • Reported complaints: customers have alleged delayed or unpaid payouts, rule changes, account resets, and migration failures.

Those complaints come from customer reviews and forum posts. They are evidence of reported experiences, not independently proven findings about every account. Still, liquidation makes the risk decision straightforward: a new customer should not purchase a Glow Node challenge.

What product did Glow Node actually sell?

Glow Node’s own terms described a simulated trading service. The account balances were not cash deposited with the company, and the trades were not instructions to trade in real financial markets.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The terms stated that:

  • Trading funds were virtual or demo capital.
  • Customers could not withdraw or transfer the displayed account capital.
  • The demo capital had no monetary value.
  • Glow Node did not receive or manage customer investment funds.

Therefore, an advertised “$100,000 account” did not mean that Glow Node placed $100,000 in a brokerage account for the trader. It represented simulated buying power used to assess performance and calculate any contractual reward. The distinction is important: a simulated prop-firm account is not the same as a bank deposit, brokerage balance, or investment account.

Historical payout and refund rules

Glow Node’s historical FAQ said that traders could request their first payout after 14 calendar days on a live account. Later requests could be made every 14 days. The FAQ also said:

  • There was no minimum payout amount.
  • All trades had to be closed before requesting payment.
  • Trading had to stop until the request was confirmed.
  • Confirmation typically took up to seven days.
  • Payments were processed through RiseWorks.io.
  • Customers had to create and verify a RiseWorks account.

The challenge fee was reportedly refunded only after the trader received a second payout. However, the refund language was inconsistent across Glow Node’s pages. The FAQ described one policy, while the terms of service said, among other things, that:

  • No refund would be available after funded-account login details had been emailed.
  • A refund might be available within 14 days if the account had not been traded.
  • A challenge fee might be refunded after completing a challenge and requesting a profit withdrawal.

A customer researching historical disputes should save the exact version of the terms that applied when the purchase was made. There was no single, clearly consistent refund rule across the site.

Historical trading rules

Glow Node’s old FAQ listed these restrictions:

Rule Historical condition
Maximum active accounts 3
Combined starting balance $300,000
Forex leverage 1:30
Indices leverage 1:10
Cryptocurrency leverage 1:2
Forex commission $2.50 per lot per side
Hedging Permitted within the stated restrictions
Outside copy trading Permitted
Copying between Glow Node accounts Prohibited

The copy-trading rule was unusually broad. Opening the same instrument in the same direction across multiple Glow Node accounts before the first position closed could be treated as copy trading. The FAQ also used a high-water-mark calculation based on the higher of balance or equity. As a result, an open trade showing a profit could increase the high-water mark before the position was closed.

These are historical terms only. They are not current customer terms and should not be used to evaluate a new purchase.

Reported customer problems

Delayed or allegedly unpaid payouts

Reviews on Trustpilot include allegations that payouts were delayed or not received after customers met the stated requirements. One reviewer described waiting more than a month after reaching a $300 payout. Other reviews blamed support failures and the Sway Funded transition.

These statements are individual allegations rather than independently verified payment records. They nevertheless identify the principal financial risk: passing an evaluation does not guarantee that a reward will arrive, particularly when the provider is in liquidation.

Migration failures

PropFirmMatch lists Glow Node as delisted and records user reports involving unavailable trading, missing login credentials, refund difficulties, and problems during the Sway Funded migration. Its classification is not a regulator’s finding of fraud, but delisting is another reason not to rely on old comparison pages.

Rule changes

Reddit posts from March 2024 alleged that Glow Node changed supported platforms and trading rules after customers had paid. One poster claimed to have obtained a chargeback. The posts include personal assertions and screenshots, but they do not independently prove that every customer experienced the same conduct.

The concern is relevant because Glow Node’s terms said the company could change or update its terms at its discretion, with or without prior written notice, and that continued use of the site constituted acceptance. Customers should always download the rules and refund terms before paying any evaluation fee.

What prospective customers should do

  1. Do not buy a Glow Node challenge. The company is in liquidation and its website says purchases are paused.
  2. Do not treat the migration notice as a payout guarantee. It is a company statement, not proof that every pending claim was settled.
  3. Check the legal entity. Search Companies House and, for regulated financial services, check the FCA’s Firm Checker and warning-list guidance.
  4. Preserve evidence if you are an existing customer. Save payment receipts, account statements, platform records, emails, payout requests, screenshots, and the terms in force at the time of purchase.
  5. Contact the payment provider promptly. If a card or payment service was used and a contractual service was not delivered, ask about its dispute or chargeback process. Do not assume a chargeback will succeed.
  6. Follow the liquidator’s instructions. Existing creditors should use the contact details and claims process in the official Companies House insolvency filings.

Is Glow Node legally confirmed to be a scam?

No. The available evidence does not establish that Glow Node was intentionally operated as a scam. It does show that the company is in liquidation, is not a viable standalone firm for new customers, and has a history of reported payout and migration complaints.

Can I buy a Glow Node challenge now?

You should not. The website says purchases are paused, and the legal entity is in liquidation.

Were Glow Node’s account balances real money?

No. Glow Node’s terms described the balances as simulated demo capital with no monetary value. They were not customer deposits or withdrawable trading funds.

What should existing Glow Node customers do?

Keep all payment and trading evidence, review the official Companies House insolvency filings for the liquidator’s claims process, and contact the payment provider promptly if you believe a paid service or payout remains unresolved.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Did Sway Funded guarantee Glow Node payouts?

Glow Node’s migration notice said existing users would receive pending payouts, but that statement is not proof that every payout was completed. Customer reports describe disputes during the migration.

The Bottom Line

Verdict: avoid Glow Node. Calling it a scam would go beyond the verified evidence, but calling it unsuitable for new customers is justified. GLOW NODE LTD entered creditors’ voluntary liquidation on June 10, 2026; Glow Node’s website says purchases and trading are paused; and historical customers have reported payout, rule-change, and migration problems. The firm is not a functioning standalone prop trading business, and there is no sensible reason to risk a new challenge fee with it.
