Global Clearing Group Review: Is It a Scam Broker?

Belize’s IFSC issued Global Clearing Group Ltd a warning and cease-and-desist order in 2010 over unlicensed securities and forex activity. That historical action is serious, but it does not establish current licensing or prove a court found fraud; verify any present-day operator and licence directly before depositing.

Belize’s International Financial Services Commission (IFSC) issued a warning and cease-and-desist order against Global Clearing Group Ltd on 15 March 2010, saying it held itself out as trading in securities and forex without an IFSC licence. That is serious historical evidence of unlicensed activity in Belize, but the notice is not a court finding of fraud and does not establish the company’s current status. The current operator and any current licence were not verified in this research, so do not deposit unless you can independently confirm the exact legal entity and its authorisation with the relevant regulator.

Secondary broker-review sources associate Global Clearing Group Ltd with 2pipsforex.com, but that connection and the domain’s current operator are not confirmed by primary records in this research. A company name, website claim, or supposed “clearing” connection is not proof of a financial-services licence.

What is Global Clearing Group?

The documented historical regulatory action concerns Global Clearing Group Ltd, which the Belize IFSC described as an international business company registered in Belize. In its 15 March 2010 warning notice and cease-and-desist order, the IFSC said the company was holding itself out as trading in securities and the forex market without an IFSC licence. The regulator directed it to stop until it applied for and obtained a licence, and asked concerned persons to exercise caution.

The IFSC’s cumulative warning list also includes Global Clearing Group Ltd and gives the same notice date. This corroborates the historical warning; it is not a current licence lookup. The available evidence does not establish whether the company or a successor currently operates a service, who currently operates 2pipsforex.com, or whether any present-day authorisation exists.

Before accepting a deposit, a genuine broker should identify:

  • Its exact registered legal name, not only a trading brand;
  • The company-registration jurisdiction and registration number;
  • The regulator supervising its brokerage activities;
  • A licence or reference number that appears in the regulator’s own current register;
  • The domain names covered by that authorisation;
  • The entity receiving client funds;
  • Its client agreement, risk disclosure, complaints procedure, and withdrawal rules.

If those details are missing, vague, or impossible to match, do not deposit.

Is Global Clearing Group regulated?

The available research does not verify a current licence for Global Clearing Group or a current operator of any associated website. The Belize IFSC’s 2010 notice said Global Clearing Group Ltd was trading in securities and forex without an IFSC licence at that time. That historical action is a serious warning, but it does not by itself establish the company’s present regulatory status or prove that a court found fraud.

A secondary review reported that Global Clearing Group claimed authorisation by the European Union Electronic Derivatives Exchange LTD (EUEDEX) and membership in the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS); that reviewer said it found no company result for EUEDEX and questioned the FSCS claim. Treat this as a secondary source’s report, not a current registry search or an independently verified regulatory finding.

Check any current claim directly with the relevant regulator. Be particularly cautious if:

  • the terms and conditions name a different company from the claimed licence holder;
  • payments are sent to a personal account or unrelated company;
  • the support team refuses to disclose the licence number;
  • the licence belongs to a similarly named but unrelated firm;
  • the regulator lists the company as unauthorised, suspended, inactive, or revoked.

Company registration is not broker regulation. Permission to exist as a company does not automatically authorise forex, CFD, investment, or portfolio-management services.

Warning signs to check

Warning sign Why it matters
Guaranteed profits or “risk-free” trading Markets cannot produce guaranteed returns; this is a common investment-fraud pitch.
Pressure to deposit immediately It leaves little time to read documents and verify the firm independently.
Requests for cryptocurrency, gift cards, or personal-bank transfers These payment methods can make recovery and tracing difficult.
Fees demanded before a withdrawal Advance “tax,” “insurance,” “unlocking,” or “verification” fees are a frequent fraud pattern.
Remote-access software requests AnyDesk, TeamViewer, and similar tools can expose banking and email credentials.
Profits visible only in an online dashboard A dashboard balance is not proof that funds exist or can be withdrawn.
Unclear legal documents Missing or contradictory terms make it difficult to identify the contracting party or enforce rights.

How to verify the broker before paying

  1. Copy the legal name from the terms. Do not use only the brand name shown in advertisements.
  2. Find the claimed regulator’s official website independently. Type the address yourself; do not follow a link supplied by a salesperson.
  3. Search the regulator’s current register. Check the exact spelling, licence status, permitted activities, registered address, phone number, and approved domains.
  4. Compare the payment recipient. Confirm that it is consistent with the authorised legal entity and the regulator’s rules. A payment to an unrelated individual is a major red flag.
  5. Read the withdrawal clause. Look for minimum trading requirements, discretionary fees, bonus restrictions, and identity-verification rules.
  6. Check warnings. Search the regulator’s warning list and consumer-alert pages, but remember that the absence of a warning is not proof of legitimacy.
  7. Test support with specific questions. Ask for the licence number, legal entity, custody arrangements, and complaints address. Refusal or evasive answers are disqualifying.

Can you trust reviews of Global Clearing Group?

Online reviews can help identify patterns, but they are not a substitute for regulatory verification. The Forex Peace Army page contains user submissions alleging losses and execution problems, alongside at least one positive account. These are individual reports, not independently verified findings of manipulation or theft.

Give more weight to evidence that can be checked, such as regulator notices, court records, corporate registers, and payment records. Be wary of anyone offering to “recover” money for an upfront fee. Recovery fraudsters often target people who have already lost money to a broker.

What to do if you already deposited

  1. Stop sending money. Do not pay a withdrawal fee, tax, security deposit, or account-upgrade charge.
  2. Save evidence. Keep emails, chats, phone numbers, wallet addresses, bank details, account statements, contracts, screenshots, and transaction IDs.
  3. Contact your bank or card issuer immediately. Ask whether a card chargeback, bank-transfer recall, or fraud claim is available. There is no guarantee, but delay can reduce the chance of recovery.
  4. Report the matter. Contact your national financial regulator, police or cybercrime unit, and the relevant payment provider.
  5. Secure your accounts. Change passwords, enable two-factor authentication, remove remote-access software, and contact your bank if you shared login or identity information.
  6. Ignore recovery promises. A genuine investigator or regulator will not guarantee recovery in exchange for cryptocurrency or an upfront payment.

Verdict

Global Clearing Group Ltd faced a serious documented regulatory warning in Belize in 2010. The IFSC said the company was holding itself out as trading in securities and forex without an IFSC licence and ordered it to cease and desist until it applied for and obtained one. This is a historical regulatory action, not a court judgment that the company committed fraud.

The available research does not verify the company’s current operating status, the current operator of the associated 2pipsforex.com domain, or any current licence. Treat the service as unverified unless you can match its exact legal entity, current licence, approved website, and payment arrangements directly through the relevant regulator. Do not deposit based only on website claims, professional branding, trading software, or apparent profits.

FAQ

Is Global Clearing Group a scam broker?

The evidence supports saying that Belize’s IFSC issued a serious warning and cease-and-desist order in 2010 over unlicensed securities and forex activity. No. It documents the regulator’s position at that time. The current operating status and licensing of the company or any successor were not verified in this research.

Is Global Clearing Group connected to 2pipsforex.com?

Secondary broker-review sources associate the company with that domain, but the current domain operator was not verified through primary records in this research.
