No. The 110-post GIC Re Assistant Manager (Scale I) application window described in the official notice has closed. Online registration ran from 4 to 19 December 2024, and the notice gave 5 January 2025 as the tentative examination date. GIC Re’s Careers page now lists the recruitment under FY 2024–25 and includes later-stage results and selection documents; the official materials reviewed do not confirm a new application window.
What happened to the 110-post recruitment?
General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) issued its Assistant Manager (Scale I) recruitment advertisement on 4 December 2024, inviting applications for 110 officer posts. The application period was 4–19 December 2024. The notice described 5 January 2025 as the tentative date for the online examination. These dates and vacancies belong to that recruitment cycle, not a current opening. Read the original GIC Re advertisement.
Where to check for a future application window
Check the GIC Re Careers page for an official announcement before applying. Its Assistant Manager material is filed under “Recruitment Examination FY 2024-25 (Date of Exam: 5th January 2025)” and includes later result and selection documents. The page shows an update date of 24 April 2026.
GIC Re’s RTI disclosure says vacancy and recruitment details are published in the Careers section. That makes the official page the place to verify any future notice; the disclosure does not announce a new vacancy. See GIC Re’s RTI disclosure.

What the 2024 notice required
The advertisement invited Indian citizens to apply for the 110 Scale I officer posts, with stream-specific qualifications and minimum marks. Eligibility was not one-size-fits-all: the relevant degree or professional qualification and marks depended on the stream and category. For example, in the General stream, the notice required at least 60% in graduation for General and OBC candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates. Other streams had separate requirements. These are historical terms from the 2024 advertisement, not confirmed eligibility rules for a future cycle.
The notice said applications had to be submitted online. It identified Mumbai as the head office and stated that postings could be elsewhere in India or abroad according to the Corporation’s requirements. Anyone assessing eligibility against that past notice should consult the original advertisement for the specific stream and category rather than relying on a summary.

How to avoid stale application links
- Start at the official GIC Re Careers page and look for a newly dated recruitment notice.
- Confirm that the notice gives an active application period and links to the current application process.
- Use the advertisement for that cycle to verify posts, eligibility, deadlines and exam dates; do not treat a third-party listing or old registration link as proof that applications are open.
