The awards organizer named Gibney the winner of both Australia’s Best New Wine List – The Tony Hitchin Award and Best Wine List Western Australia. The results document ranks it third overall nationally, behind Gimlet at Cavendish House in first place and Agnes in second.

In a report published 30 September 2024, PerthNow said judges highlighted the list’s champagne and international offerings alongside local wines. The report does not give a full score sheet, name the judges, or provide a verbatim judging statement, so that description is best understood as a summary of the judges’ observations rather than a detailed rationale. PerthNow’s coverage also reported that Gibney opened in May 2024.
