Sony announced a Ghost of Yōtei Gold Limited Edition cover made specifically for PS5 Pro, alongside a Gold PS5 slim cover, limited-edition console bundles, and standalone DualSense controllers. Those products launched on October 2, 2025; Sony’s announcement does not confirm whether any are in stock today. The U.S. launch prices were $64.99 for either Gold cover, $84.99 for a Gold or Black controller, and $599.99 for either console bundle.
Which Ghost of Yōtei products did Sony announce?

The announcement described limited quantities. Its listed prices and sales channels are launch-era details, not confirmation of current offers or stock. Sony’s announcement is the primary source for the product specifications and original terms.

Does the Ghost of Yōtei cover fit PS5 Pro?
Yes. Sony announced a Gold Limited Edition cover for PS5 Pro as a separate product, as well as a distinct Gold cover for PS5 slim. They are different model-specific covers; check that a listing names your exact console before ordering. Sony did not announce a Black PS5 Pro cover.

What is the difference between the Gold and Black editions?
Gold: kintsugi-inspired
The Gold design takes inspiration from kintsugi, a traditional repair technique that uses lacquer and gold. Sony said the Gold covers carry the design and maker’s seal seen on the Gold bundle. The Gold bundle and standalone Gold DualSense were part of the announcement.
Black: sumi-e-inspired
The Black design draws on sumi-e ink painting. Sony announced a Black PS5 bundle and a standalone Black DualSense, but not a Black replacement cover for PS5 Pro. In the launch distribution plan, the Black bundle was exclusive to PlayStation Direct in supported regions; the Black controller was also planned for select retailers in Japan.

- Stunning graphics and gameplay, explore the wild and striking lands around Mount Yotei on foot or horseback. Travel picturesque parts of northern Japan through grasslands, snowy ridges, fields of wildflowers, and more.
- Discover renegade combat, engage in lawless katana combat and battles with adversaires. Train with various sensei as you find and learn to use each new weapon.
- An unconventional story and journey, take in the cultural beauty of Japan, bathe in an onsen, visit shrines to pray, try Sumi-e painting, and so much more.
- Choose your weapon, battle Atsu's opponents as you see fit, with levelled-up dual katanas, odachi, kusarigama and other new weapons.
Both bundle controllers feature Atsu’s silhouette on the touchpad. Sucker Punch creative director Jason Connell described the designs as drawing on exploration, hand-drawn map icons, the Ghost mask, Atsu’s sumi-e paintings, and Mount Yōtei. Sony’s product announcement includes his full design description.
Can you buy the DualSense separately?
Sony announced both Gold and Black Ghost of Yōtei DualSense controllers for standalone sale, at a U.S. launch MSRP of $84.99 each. Availability varied by region and variant in Sony’s original plan: the Gold controller was listed through PlayStation Direct where available and select retailers, while the Black controller was planned for select retailers in Japan as well as PlayStation Direct in supported regions. That plan does not establish current stock.
