Ghost of Yōtei is no longer a pre-order: it launched for PS5 on October 2, 2025. As of October 8, 2026, buyers can choose between the Complete Edition, an upgrade for existing owners, and physical or collector editions—but current third-party stock and discounts are not confirmed here.
Is Ghost of Yōtei still available for pre-order?
No. Sony released Ghost of Yōtei for PlayStation 5 on October 2, 2025. The original pre-order period is over, so a listing described as a pre-order should be checked carefully for its edition, seller, delivery date and whether it is actually a new retail offer or a resale listing. Sony’s launch announcement confirms the release date and the original editions.

#1 Best Overall
- Stunning graphics and gameplay, explore the wild and striking lands around Mount Yotei on foot or horseback. Travel picturesque parts of northern Japan through grasslands, snowy ridges, fields of wildflowers, and more.
- Discover renegade combat, engage in lawless katana combat and battles with adversaires. Train with various sensei as you find and learn to use each new weapon.
- An unconventional story and journey, take in the cultural beauty of Japan, bathe in an onsen, visit shrines to pray, try Sumi-e painting, and so much more.
- Choose your weapon, battle Atsu's opponents as you see fit, with levelled-up dual katanas, odachi, kusarigama and other new weapons.
What is included in the Complete Edition?
The Complete Edition launched on October 1, 2026, according to Sucker Punch; patch v2.0 content was scheduled for October 1 globally and October 2 in some territories, including Asia, Australia and New Zealand. It bundles the base game with the Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion, Most Wanted combat-survival mode, Legends cooperative mode and content previously released for the Digital Deluxe Edition. The US PlayStation Store lists the edition at $69.99, but regional prices and availability can vary.
For a new buyer, compare the Complete Edition with any Standard Blu-ray offer using the actual delivered price and whether you want physical media. For someone who already owns the base game, compare the $14.99 US upgrade listing with the content it adds rather than buying the full edition again. See the US PlayStation Store Complete Edition page and PlayStation’s US game page; verify the listing and terms for your region.

- Discover a bold, new story of a warrior in Japan who is on her own mission of vengeance.
- Set 300 years after the critically acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yōtei is a standalone experience set in 1600s rural Japan. The story follows a haunted, lone mercenary named Atsu. Thirsty for revenge, she travels through the beautiful, rugged landscapes of northern Japan, hunting those who killed her family many years earlier.
- Sixteen years after her family’s death, Atsu’s quest across Ezo brings her to unexplored lands in search of a gang of six outlaws, but she finds much more than vengeance. Throughout her journey, Atsu will discover unlikely allies, and greater bonds than she could have imagined.
Does the Collector’s Edition include a disc?
No. The Collector’s Edition includes a digital entitlement to the full game, not a Blu-ray disc. Its physical items include a Ghost Mask, sash, tsuba, papercraft Ginkgo Tree, art cards, and a Zeni Hajiki coin game and pouch. PlayStation Direct also lists the Digital Deluxe items as digital contents. Check the PlayStation Direct Collector’s Edition page for the edition details. If owning a disc matters to you, look for the Standard Edition Blu-ray instead.
Is the Sakai Armor pre-order bonus still available?
The announced early-unlock offer is over. Sucker Punch said digital purchases made by September 30, 2026 would unlock Sakai Armor early on October 1. That cutoff has passed. Do not treat the offer as active unless your regional store explicitly shows different current terms. The announcement also notes that patch v2.0 content was scheduled for October 1 globally and October 2 in some territories; regional timing may differ.

Where to buy Ghost of Yōtei, and how to compare prices
PlayStation’s US game page provides a route to buy the Standard Edition Blu-ray, while the US PlayStation Store lists the Complete Edition and upgrade. These official pages establish purchase paths and official US pricing, but they do not establish that a particular third-party retailer has stock or the lowest current price. No retailer-by-retailer inventory, live discount, or delivered price is confirmed here.
Before buying from a retailer or marketplace, compare like with like and check:

- Build your own zoo with over 500 different animals at your disposal, then splice together over 300,000 different animal combinations
- Keep your animals and your itors happy, with hundreds of buildings, foliage, path and enclosure decorations
- Hire the perfect employees to deal with a variety of life events
- Control everything that happens in your park, from what your animals eat to what eats your animals…
- Decide whether you want to run your Zoo above board... or break the law and pocket the extra cash
- Edition and format: Make sure the listing is for the Standard Blu-ray, Complete Edition, upgrade, or Collector’s Edition you intend to buy. The Collector’s Edition game is digital, not a disc.
- Seller: Identify whether the offer is sold by the retailer or by a marketplace seller. Treat resale listings separately from new first-party retail offers.
- Total delivered cost: Compare shipping and applicable taxes as well as the item price. A lower headline price may not be the lower checkout total.
- Condition and entitlement: Check whether the item is new, used or resale, and whether any included digital code or entitlement is valid and unused.
- Region: Check the store territory and regional terms. The prices cited here are US prices and should not be assumed to apply elsewhere.
For an honest “best price” comparison, use current listings from your country and record the check date, seller, edition, condition and delivered total. Without that live comparison, there is no verified best retailer price to name.
