Verdict: Treat GDMFX and gdmfx.com as high risk and do not send them money. Spain’s CNMV listed “gdmfx.com”, “GDMFX” and “GLOBAL DERIVATIVE CAPITAL MARKETS NZ LTD” among unregistered entities in a public warning dated 29 April 2019. That historical warning does not establish who controls the name or domain today, or prove every customer complaint; verify any current firm or contact independently.
A broker’s website, trading app or social-media presence is not evidence of authorisation. Check the exact legal entity, domain and permitted services in the official register for your country, using contact details obtained from the regulator rather than a salesperson. A name missing from a warning list is not proof of approval.
What is GDMFX?
GDMFX is a forex trading name associated in the CNMV’s 2019 warning with gdmfx.com and Global Derivative Capital Markets NZ Ltd. The warning identified them as unregistered entities. It is historical evidence, not a current determination about every person or website now using the name.
A proper check requires the exact legal entity, website domain, licence and regulator. A website, certificate or MetaTrader account alone does not prove authorisation. A current site or person using the GDMFX name could also be an imitator, so independently confirm contact details with the relevant regulator.

- BUILT FOR YOUR MARKET, FUTURES, STOCKS, FOREX, OPTIONS & CRYPTO: 4X is a mindset and process journal, not a strategy tool tied to one instrument. The plan, the trade log, the deep dive and the weekly review work the same whether you trade ES, EURUSD, SPY or BTC. Traders use it across all five markets every day.
- THE 2026 EDITION, REBUILT FROM TRADER FEEDBACK: Same trusted system, better in every way. An extra daily page for more room to log the session. Weekly reviews now grouped with each week's trades, so no more flipping back and forth. Crisp, darker print that's easy on the eyes after hours on a screen. - NOT A NOTEBOOK, A COMPLETE 12-WEEK SYSTEM: Start with a one-time 9-part Trading Plan (your market, setups, risk rules and discipline checklist). Then twelve identical weeks: five Daily Logs, five Deep Dive trade pages, and a two-page Weekly Review. 189 guided pages, roughly 80 trades. Guided prompts walk you through every step. You never stare at a blank page.

What regulators have said about GDMFX
Spain’s National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) issued a public warning dated 29 April 2019 listing “gdmfx.com”, “GDMFX” and “GLOBAL DERIVATIVE CAPITAL MARKETS NZ LTD” among unregistered entities. This is the strongest official evidence identified for the legitimacy question. It is a regulator warning, not a court finding of fraud.
Forex Peace Army separately labels GDMFX a scam and out of business and includes customer reports alleging difficulty or failure withdrawing funds. Those are secondary reports, not independently verified findings about every customer or a regulator’s adjudication of each complaint.
The reviewed sources do not establish who controls the name or domain today, the latest company-register status, or the outcome of individual complaints. Do not assume that a present-day message, social account or site is operated by the historical entity.
How to check a broker’s authorisation
Regulatory permission depends on the exact firm, the services it provides and the jurisdictions it serves. The FCA advises UK consumers to use its Firm Checker to confirm authorisation and permission for the service, and to use the contact information shown there. Readers elsewhere should check their own jurisdiction’s regulator.

- Find the legal entity named in the broker’s terms and conditions. Do not rely on the brand name alone.
- Search that exact entity in the official regulator’s register, and check the domain and contact details against the register.
- Confirm that its authorisation is active and covers the services offered to retail customers in your country.
- Contact the firm only through details independently confirmed in the regulator’s register.
- Check the regulator’s warnings, but do not treat absence from a warning list as approval; regulators may not yet know about every unauthorised business.
For UK consumers, the FCA says customers dealing with an unauthorised firm will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service for a complaint and will not have FSCS protection if the firm fails. These are UK-specific consequences and should not be generalized to other countries.
Why authorisation matters
Trading with an authorised broker does not remove market risk, but regulatory rules may provide protections and complaint routes. What applies depends on the jurisdiction and the firm’s permissions. Company registration alone is not a broker licence.
If a firm is unauthorised, protections may be weaker or unavailable. Recovering money through a foreign company, payment processor or cryptocurrency wallet can be difficult. A profitable balance displayed on a platform does not prove that funds can be withdrawn.
Deposit and withdrawal checks
Read withdrawal terms before sending funds. Look for clear rules on processing, fees, identity checks, minimum amounts and payment methods. Ambiguous or changing terms warrant caution.
Do not make a new payment to unlock an existing withdrawal. Requests for a tax, insurance payment, clearance charge, security deposit, account upgrade or other advance fee are serious warning signs. A firm may request identity or source-of-funds documents, but do not assume a new payment is required to release a balance.
Be especially cautious if someone claiming to represent GDMFX asks you to:
- pay a percentage of your profits before withdrawal;
- send money to a personal bank account or unrelated company;
- fund an external crypto wallet for verification;
- install remote-access software;
- communicate only through a private messaging or social-media account; or
- deposit immediately because an opportunity or bonus is supposedly expiring.
Trading conditions do not establish legitimacy
Promises of guaranteed returns, unusually high win rates, zero-risk trading or fixed profits are serious warning signs. Foreign exchange and CFDs involve risk, and a platform or trading software does not prove that a broker is authorised or safeguards customer money.
Before considering any broker, verify its legal entity and permissions, the services it may offer in your country, client-money arrangements, withdrawal terms and complaint channels. Do not rely on screenshots, testimonials or promotional claims.

How to investigate GDMFX safely
- Save the evidence. Record the exact website address, emails, phone numbers, payment instructions, account agreement and promotional claims.
- Find the legal entity. Do not accept a brand name or registration number without checking the issuing authority.
- Search the official regulator. Use the regulator’s site and independently verified contact details, not a link supplied by a salesperson.
- Check warnings and permissions. Review relevant warning notices and confirm the firm is authorised for the service and country. A missing warning is not approval.
- Read withdrawal terms first. Look for advance-fee demands, discretionary refusal clauses and unexplained charges.
- Check the payment route. Do not send funds to a personal account, unrelated business or crypto address supplied in a chat.
- If the firm cannot be verified, do not deposit.
If you have already deposited
Stop sending additional money, even if someone says it is needed to recover the account. Preserve transaction IDs, wallet addresses, bank details, conversations, platform screenshots and emails.
Contact your bank or card issuer promptly to ask whether a dispute, transfer recall or fraud report is available. Notify a cryptocurrency exchange or wallet provider if relevant, and report the matter to your national regulator or appropriate law-enforcement or cybercrime service.
Change passwords, enable two-factor authentication and remove any remote-access application you were asked to install. Do not pay an upfront fee to a recovery service promising to retrieve your funds.

The CNMV’s 29 April 2019 warning listed GDMFX, gdmfx.com and Global Derivative Capital Markets NZ Ltd as unregistered entities. That is a clear reason to treat GDMFX as high risk and not send money. Separately, a review site carries withdrawal complaints and describes the business as out of business; those reports are secondary evidence, not proof of every individual allegation.
