GATE 2025 registration with a late fee closed at 11:59 p.m. on October 11, 2024. It is not possible to apply for that exam cycle now: the examinations and results are over, and the official FAQ says GATE 2025 score cards have not been available since January 1, 2026.

When was the GATE 2025 late-fee deadline?

IIT Roorkee extended the late-fee application deadline to October 11, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. The regular registration deadline had first been extended to October 3, 2024. These were deadlines for the 2025 exam cycle, not current application dates. See the official GATE 2025 important dates.

What was the GATE 2025 late fee?

IIT Roorkee’s 2024 application-fee page listed the following late-period fees per test paper:

Candidate category Late-period fee per paper
Female, SC/ST or PwD candidates ₹1,400
All other candidates, including foreign nationals ₹2,300

A candidate applying for two papers paid twice the applicable per-paper fee. These amounts were the GATE 2025 fees during its extended application period; they are not fees for a later cycle. The categories and amounts are listed on IIT Roorkee’s GATE 2025 application-fee page.

What happened after registration closed?

The GATE 2025 exams were scheduled for February 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025, and results were announced on March 19, 2025. Both milestones have passed. The dates appear in the official GATE 2025 brochure.

Can you still download a GATE 2025 score card?

No. IIT Roorkee’s official FAQ says score cards were available free from March 28 through May 31, 2025. From June 1 through December 31, 2025, a download cost ₹500 per test paper. The FAQ states that GATE 2025 score cards have not been available from January 1, 2026 onward. See the official GATE 2025 FAQs.

What should applicants do now?

GATE 2025 is a completed exam cycle, so its application window cannot be reopened by paying a late fee. Anyone planning to apply for a later cycle should check that cycle’s own official website for its current dates, eligibility rules and fees; the dates and amounts above apply only to GATE 2025.
