They are historical prices, not confirmed live deals. Checked August 18, 2026, Samsung’s U.S. offer pages show trade-in promotions instead; the actual credit depends on the eligible phone and its condition. Check the final cart before treating any advertised saving as yours.
What were the original Galaxy S25 deal prices?
The figures below come from a Phandroid deal article published August 27, 2025. They describe the prices reported then, not prices verified today.
| Model and storage | Reported regular price | Reported deal price | Claimed markdown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S25 Ultra, 256GB | $1,299.99 | $999.99 | $300 |
| Galaxy S25 Edge, 512GB | $1,219.99 | $999.99 | $220 |
| Galaxy S25+, 256GB | $999.99 | $849.99 | $150 |
Phandroid’s August 27, 2025 report does not establish that these prices remain available. A markdown is different from a trade-in credit, carrier bill credit, gift card or storage upgrade; those promotions have separate conditions and should not be counted as cash off unless the checkout confirms the amount.
What Samsung offers now

Samsung’s S25 offers page listed the S25/S25+ line from $799.99 before trade-in.

Which Galaxy S25 model is the better value?
Galaxy S25 Ultra: choose it for the S Pen and camera features
The Ultra is the fit for buyers who will use its S Pen, advanced camera and zoom capabilities, or largest display. It makes more financial sense when its final price after a confirmed discount or trade-in is close to the S25+ and those features matter to you. If not, the price premium may be better kept for a case, protection or other expenses.

Galaxy S25 Edge: pay for thinness only if it matters to you
The Edge is aimed at buyers who prize a thin, light design and a large premium display. A large advertised trade-in maximum alone does not make it the best deal: compare its actual price with the S25+ and weigh battery, camera versatility, storage and durability against the design advantage. It is a stronger value proposition when the price is close to the Plus than when you are paying a meaningful premium for thinness.
Galaxy S25+: a practical large-screen choice
The Plus is the sensible starting point for many buyers seeking a large display and flagship performance without paying for the Ultra’s specialized features. It lacks the Ultra’s S Pen and top-tier camera configuration, but a lower direct price can make it the better balance. Compare the Edge’s final price with the Plus rather than assuming the Edge’s higher trade-in headline represents better value.

Compare the full cost, not just the phone payment
Use this calculation for any offer:
Total purchase cost = phone payments + taxes + activation or upgrade fees + required plan costs + any remaining balance on your old phone − guaranteed trade-in credit − guaranteed instant discount − confirmed gift-card or accessory value.
Count a gift card only at the value it has to you, and do not treat a storage upgrade as cash savings unless you would otherwise have paid the higher storage price. Taxes may be based on the pre-credit price; check the offer terms and checkout.

Unlocked purchase
An unlocked purchase may cost more upfront, but avoids tying the phone discount to a multi-year carrier bill-credit arrangement. Add applicable taxes and fees, subtract only a discount or trade-in credit that is confirmed in the cart, and verify that the particular listing is new, the storage is correct and the device is unlocked.
Carrier promotion
A carrier’s advertised low monthly payment may depend on financing, a qualifying plan, a trade-in and monthly credits over time. Calculate the net carrier cost as phone payments after credits + the additional plan cost over the credit period + activation fees and taxes + any payoff obligations. Compare the plan you would actually buy with your current or preferred plan—not just the phone installment.

Credits may stop if you cancel, change to an ineligible plan, terminate the line or pay off early; the exact effect depends on the carrier’s terms. Carrier offers can be worthwhile if you already use the qualifying plan and expect to stay for the full term. Check the official Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile offer page for the specific promotion and its requirements before committing.

Confirm the offer and the device
- Match the exact model, storage and color; confirm whether the phone is new or refurbished.
- Verify unlocked status or carrier compatibility rather than inferring it from the seller.
- Check the exact trade-in device and condition used to calculate your credit, the trade-in deadline and what happens if inspection changes the value or rejects the phone.
- For carrier deals, confirm the required plan, financing term, credit schedule and consequences of cancellation, plan changes or early payoff.
- Review taxes, activation or upgrade fees, return terms, stock limits and any stated offer end date.
- Do not assume a free-storage promotion is cash savings; compare the storage tiers and the price you would otherwise pay.
Prepare a Samsung trade-in
Samsung’s trade-in and cell-phone offer terms describe requirements including a device that powers on and holds a charge, a functioning display, acceptable physical condition, no liquid damage or serious defects, no blacklist, and customer ownership rather than a lease. Cracked-screen eligibility depends on the specific offer. The device must also be factory-reset with personal information removed and software locks disabled. Read the terms for the exact promotion; Samsung may modify or discontinue offers.
