Restaurants offered a range of free meals and drinks to eligible service members on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Those promotions have expired: some were valid only that day, while Freddy’s meal card could be redeemed only through December 31, 2025. The offers below are a historical record, not deals available now.

What restaurants offered free food or drinks in 2025?

The American Legion’s 2025 roundup listed promotions from multiple chains. These examples show the variety of offers reported; inclusion does not establish that every location participated or that each listing was independently confirmed.

Restaurant Reported offer and conditions
Denny’s A free Original Grand Slam at participating locations from opening until noon, with military ID or DD-214.
Freddy’s A free Combo meal card for veterans and active military who visited on November 11. The card was redeemable through December 31, 2025; that window has ended.
Little Caesars Free lunch combos from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Scooter’s Coffee A free medium drink with military ID.
Starbucks A free tall brewed coffee at participating locations.
Other names on the American Legion roundup Bob Evans, Buffalo Wild Wings, California Pizza Kitchen, Chicken Salad Chick, Chili’s, In-N-Out Burger, IHOP, Red Robin, and others. The roundup does not establish universal location participation.

What were the exact terms at selected chains?

Freddy’s

Freddy’s official offer page said, “No purchase is necessary to receive this special offer.” Veterans and active military could visit on November 11, 2025, for a free Combo meal card, which had to be used by December 31, 2025. Both the visit date and redemption deadline are past.

QDOBA

QDOBA’s official terms offered regular-size chips with a choice of queso, queso diablo, guacamole, or salsa on November 11, 2025. Guests had to redeem in person at a participating restaurant and show military ID at checkout. No purchase was necessary; the terms limited the offer to one discount per person per order, excluded combination with other offers, and said tax was extra. The offer has expired.

Red Robin

Red Robin’s official terms offered a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on November 11, 2025. It was dine-in only at participating restaurants, for veterans and active-duty service members who showed proof of service. No purchase was required, and the offer could not be combined with another offer or discount. It has expired.

Applebee’s

EatDrinkDeals’ 2025 listing documented a free meal offer for November 11, requiring proof of military service and dine-in redemption. This secondary roundup supports the historical listing; consult its linked merchant announcement for exact menu details.

Who qualified, and what proof was required?

Eligibility and documentation depended on the restaurant. The offers above named veterans, and some also covered active military or active-duty service members. Do not assume that every military-connected person qualified. Proof requirements also differed: examples included military ID, DD-214, or proof of service. The American Legion roundup listed ID requirements for some offers, while the official QDOBA and Red Robin terms specified military ID and proof of service, respectively.

Could anyone use these deals now?

No. These promotions were tied to November 11, 2025, or to a voucher window that ended in 2025. As of October 4, 2026, they are historical offers, not currently redeemable deals. A later Veterans Day promotion would need fresh confirmation; the 2025 listings do not establish that any business will repeat an offer.

Why could the deal differ by location?

Several terms limited redemption to participating restaurants, and the available roundups do not show that every location honored every listed promotion. Most offers required in-person redemption or proof of service, but purchase rules, eligible service groups, hours, and offer type varied by business. AARP’s 2025 roundup, marked verified as of November 6, also cautioned that most offers required valid identification and were available at participating locations; its search-result information does not establish more specific terms.

For any future promotion, check the restaurant’s own announcement and the specific location before traveling. Confirm the eligible service group, acceptable proof, redemption method, hours, purchase requirement, and any expiration date.
