Yes—Ford’s U.S. Power Promise page currently advertises a complimentary home charger and standard installation for eligible retail EV customers. Its FAQ specifically names new Ford F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E purchases or leases. But the live page does not provide a dated 2026 offer window in the information available, so confirm the offer, vehicle eligibility, location and installation scope with a participating dealer before signing.

What is the Ford Power Promise?

Ford Power Promise is a U.S. offer that, according to Ford’s current Power Promise page, can provide an eligible retail customer with a complimentary home charger and standard installation. The page’s FAQ names new F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E retail customers who buy or lease.

That description does not establish every transaction’s eligibility. The current dated offer window, model-year coverage, geographic exceptions and any alternative incentive are not stated in the retrieved page content. Treat the live offer as an invitation to verify terms—not a guarantee that every Ford EV purchase or lease qualifies.

Which Ford models qualify?

Ford’s FAQ specifically names new F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E purchases or leases. It does not, in the available information, settle eligibility for every model year, trim, region, customer type or sale date. Confirm your exact vehicle and transaction with the dealer rather than assuming that a model’s appearance on the FAQ covers your order.

EVIQO Level 2 EV Charger J1772 48A - Hardwired 240V Wall Charging Station
  • WORKS WITH EVERY NON-TESLA EV: Standard J1772 connector plugs straight into Ford, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, Rivian, Lucid and every other EV or plug-in hybrid sold with a J1772 port - no adapter needed. Tesla drivers can charge too, using the J1772 adapter that comes with the car. The extra-long 25 ft cable easily reaches across a garage or driveway.
  • HARDWIRED - PROFESSIONAL INSTALL: This Level 2 charger is hardwired (not plug-in), so a licensed electrician installs it per National Electrical Code. It delivers up to 48A on a dedicated 60A, 240V circuit - enough to charge most EVs fully overnight. Want more speed? You can set DIP switches 4 and 5 to unlock 50A on a dedicated 70A circuit. Before ordering, check your car's port type and that your electrical panel can support the circuit.
  • CONTROL FROM YOUR PHONE: A stronger built-in antenna keeps the charger online even in a garage or basement. Use the free app to start and stop charging, set the charging speed (6-48A), get reminders, and track how much energy and money each charge uses. Requires a 2.4 GHz home WiFi network.
  • SAFETY-CERTIFIED & WEATHERPROOF: Independently tested and certified (UL, ETL, FCC, Energy Star). A fully sealed IP66 / NEMA 4 housing stands up to rain, snow, heat and dust indoors or out, and internal steel shielding protects the electronics for years of reliable use.
  • GLOW-IN-THE-DARK HOLSTER: The included high-visibility holster glows in the dark so you can find and dock the plug easily at night. Holds the connector securely when not in use.

What charger will I receive?

Ford does not guarantee one charger model or brand: its FAQ says the unit may vary with availability. The Charge Station Pro is one of the home-charging products Ford lists, not a guaranteed Power Promise shipment.

Ford’s home-charging page describes both the Charge Station Pro and Connected Charge Station as hardwired Level 2 products that require professional installation. It displayed prices of $1,310 for the available Charge Station Pro and $799 for the available Connected Charge Station; these are page prices, not a promise about program equipment or current retail pricing. Ford also displayed its mobile charger at $520 alone or $600 bundled with a Fast Charging Adapter. Check current price, configuration and vehicle compatibility before buying anything separately.

Does Ford pay for installation?

The current offer advertises standard installation with the complimentary charger. Ford identifies local licensed electricians through Qmerit Electrification LLC for U.S. standard installations. The phrase “standard installation” has limits: it is not a promise to cover every electrical upgrade or home-specific condition. Confirm the quote and current terms to learn what work, permits or fees are excluded or charged separately.

What counts as a standard installation?

Ford describes a qualifying installation as being at a residential property—a single-family home, duplex, condo or townhome—with a dedicated electrical meter. The charger must attach to the same structure as the main electrical panel. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary approval from an HOA, landlord, property owner or other third party.

Whether a particular home meets the standard scope depends on its electrical setup and the work required. Ask for the site assessment and written scope before assuming the advertised installation covers panel work, a long wiring run, permits or fees.

How does home charging affect your choice?

Ford distinguishes a Level 1 connection to a standard 120-volt wall outlet from Level 2 charging stations, which may require professional installation. Its home-charging page says Level 1 can suit topping up or drivers traveling under 20 miles per day. Charging time varies with the vehicle, battery and equipment, so use Ford’s model-specific figures for your vehicle rather than assuming one speed applies to every setup.

For a Level 2 installation, the useful questions are your daily driving and charging needs, vehicle compatibility, available panel capacity, wiring distance, charger cost and the exact work covered by the current offer. A home assessment can determine whether the electrical setup fits the standard scope or requires additional work.

Can you keep the charger when a lease ends?

Yes. Ford’s FAQ says the customer keeps the complimentary charger at lease end. The FAQ does not state that every installation or other offer term remains available to every lessee, so verify those details for your own lease.

What to confirm before you sign

Ask the participating dealer to provide the current offer terms in writing and check each item against your transaction:

  • Offer start and end dates, and whether the offer is active on your signing or delivery date.
  • Eligible model year, trim and purchase or lease transaction.
  • Whether your location is covered and the dealer is participating.
  • Whether fleet, commercial or other customer categories are excluded.
  • Expected charger make and model, while recognizing Ford says these can vary.
  • Installation scope for your home, including panel capacity, wiring route, permits, fees and any work outside the standard installation.
  • Any cash alternative or other incentive, if offered, with its amount and conditions stated in writing.

Do not rely on old promotion dates or a past cash alternative as current terms. Ford’s 2025 article described a promotion that ran July 8 through September 30, 2025, with a choice of a complimentary station and installation or $500 bonus cash; permitting costs and fees were excluded. That historical offer does not establish what is available in October 2026.

What Ford’s reported program figures do—and do not—show

Ford Motor Company reported in 2025 that more than 12,000 customers received complimentary home chargers and standard installation in ten months. Ford also said its internal data showed customers who used the complimentary charger and installation charged at home nearly 90% of the time in Hawaii, Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska. These are Ford-reported program figures, not independent evaluations or estimates for all EV owners.

In a 2024 article, Ford reported results from a Mercury Analytics survey of 2,007 U.S. respondents conducted September 13–17, 2024: nearly 90% said knowing they could charge at home would make them more likely to buy an EV, and nearly half did not know how home charging worked. Those are dated survey findings, not current estimates of all car shoppers.
