Adam Sandler tops Forbes’ latest highest-paid actors ranking, with an estimated $48 million after representation fees ($60 million gross) for calendar-year 2025. Forbes published the ranking on March 13, 2026, and updated it on August 18, 2026. These are estimates of defined film and television earnings—not a complete accounting of each actor’s income.
Who is the highest-paid actor on Forbes’ latest list?
Adam Sandler ranks first. Forbes estimates his 2025 earnings at $48 million after representation fees, equivalent to $60 million before those fees. The estimate appears in Forbes’ 2025 highest-paid actors ranking.
Forbes estimates that the 20 actors on the list earned a combined $590 million for 2025, 20% less than the $730 million reported for the prior year’s ranking. The comparison concerns the combined estimates in Forbes’ lists, not total income across all sources.
What does Forbes count as actor earnings?
The ranking covers film and television compensation for acting, producing and directing. Forbes assigns compensation for a project to the calendar year it was released, even if the actor received payment earlier or later. As a result, the list is not a record of cash received during that year.

It excludes income from unrelated entrepreneurial ventures, licensing, commercials and social-media partnerships, as well as stand-up comedy and podcasting. An actor’s total income may therefore be higher than the figure shown, but the list does not establish how much higher.

Forbes says it estimates earnings through interviews with agents, lawyers, managers, executives and other industry experts, alongside sources including IMDbPro and Box Office Mojo. The figures are pretax and net of representation fees, rather than audited statements of individual pay.
For its 2025 ranking, Forbes describes the usual deductions as 10% for agents, 10% for managers and 5% for lawyers, while noting that some actors do not use all three. Those percentages describe its methodology; they should not be treated as a universal fee schedule for every actor.

How to compare the ranking with other earnings lists
- Match the earnings year: the current ranking covers 2025, although it was published in 2026.
- Keep gross and after-fee figures separate: Sandler’s $60 million gross estimate is not the same measure as his $48 million after-fee estimate.
- Check what income is included: lists that add endorsements, commercial work, business income, stand-up or podcasting have a broader scope and are not directly comparable.
- Read the figures as estimates: Forbes describes its approach as interview- and data-based estimation, not audited disclosure of individual compensation.
